French Toast I

Very simple and easy to follow recipe. The only trouble I had was getting the last of the egg mix on the last toast. :) Also, watch your butter when greasing the pan. My first toast was sopping with butter.

Pumpkin Swirled Cheese Cake

German Potato Pancakes

Bread Pudding Apple Pie

This is a great recipe! I had two leftover apples I didn't want to eat so I made this bread pudding pie with them. I'd read the other reviews before making it, and here's what I did: I made my own bread cubes using whole grain wheat bread (toasted, buttered, then torn up). I also made it using a glass pie pan with a crust, just as the recipe called for. It's great for breakfast too!

Butter Mochi Cake

This cake (heated up) with vanilla ice-cream is delicious. I recommend having it with something like ice cream or sorbet to balance the sweet/buttery taste of the cake.

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

This was an excellent sauce, we used it as a replacement in another recipe and it was amazing. I had a deep, rich enchilada sauce that balanced nicely with the Monterey jack cheese we chose.

Reshmi Kebab (Silken Kebabs)

I wanted to add to the instructions, to de-seed the peppers (I used jalapeño and Serrano)using gloves. My fingers are still burning 24 hours after making the marinade. This was my first foray into kebabs and it was quite easy to make and very tasty, but the peppers left me in lots of pain...lesson learned!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

So moist and delicious. I also substituted the flour for whole wheat flour and it cuts the sweetness and adds a nutty flavor to the bread. Very delicious, and great with jam.

Creamy Carrot Soup

I used coconut milk instead of heavy cream, a bit less dill than requested, and doubled the recipe... It was super. Really tasty and filling, and there were barely any leftovers! And, if you like chunky soups, I didn't puree the veggies all the way, and the texture was great.
