Oh my god is this good! Everyone wanted this recipe. I added a small can of black olives diced. They added a nice color and flavor to this dip.

Sausage Shepherds Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2005
This was a great winter meal. Everyone loved it. I cut the sausage by half and added ground beef. I also added one small diced onion sweated in olive oil before the meat in the pan. I also made my own garlic mashed potatoes for the top.

Holy mother of god was this good! I used 6ozs of cream cheese and half a bottle of Hooters wing sauce and a cup of Lite House blue cheese dressing...the best out there! Even those who don't like spicy said it was good.

Steak Tips with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
My god was this sauce good over the steaks! I added a splash of olive oil to keep the butter from burning and recommend you mince the garlic in a press instead of chopping as I think it blends into the sauce better.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
EXCELLENT! This added so much flavor to the steak and also helped to keep it moist while cooking. I added half a diced onion and 1/3 cup ketchup. My kids didn't even reach for the ketchup bottle at the table! WOW. Thank you :-)

Tasty Meat Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2006
Thanks Tracy, this was a hit with the whole family! I used frozen peas, carrots, corn, diced up one large baking potato and fried up 8oz of sliced mushrooms. I also added one minced clove garlic to the onions, a few dashes of worcestershire sauce, and a few dashes of white pepper. I will be making this again. Great left overs too!

Cheesy Macaroni and Beef Casserole with Thyme

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
This was a good cold weather/kid frendly casserole. I added a diced green pepper to the onion and used half velveta and half sharp chedder. Next time I will use corn starch as a thickner as I still tasted the texture of the flour even after I cooked it out. I sprinkled the top with some parmesan cheese and paprika for color.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
Thanks Paul...these bars ROCK! I used 2/3 cup oil, 1/2 tsp nutmeg. I would suggest using more cream cheese and butter to make more frosting. The recipe as written is just a bit shy.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
This was excellent! Even the picky teenager ate it! Like a previous reviewer, I added a can of cream of mushroom soup and the dry onion soup mix but I like a lot of gravy so I also added two cups of water with a large beef bouillon cube desolved and a jar of mushrooms. I used crushed butter crackers instead of bread crumbs and added 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning to the beef mixture. I trippled the flour since I added more liquid so the sauce was nice and thick. Served over noodles. This will be a keeper in our house. Thanks

Wild Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2007
An excellent chicken casserole! Like others I used three chicken breasts and added 1tsp herb d' provence. I used two boxes of UB wild rice with the seasoning packets. Instead of using almonds I covered the top with Frenches fried onions for the last five minutes to brown them. Thanks Kathleen!

Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
I decided to make cheeseburger calzones with this. They where a huge hit! Next time I will only use the pickle juice. Using both the juice and diced pickles is a bit too much pickle flavor. I also used shredded chedder instead of swiss and melted in three slices of velveta into the meat mixture. Just make your favorite pizza dough, fill small rounds and fold over to make the calzones. Bake @ 425 till lightly browned. Excellent.... thanks.

Thanks Pam....OUTSTANDING! I did everything in the wok. Meat first, removed to a plate. Then the vegies till softened, added the sauce that was put together in another pot and returned the meat to the wok. Added in the corn starch and cooked till thickened. I will add peas next time. This was a BIG hit in our house.

Peppered Bacon and Tomato Linguine

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
OUTSTANDUNG! After the bacon was rendered out I cooked some diced chicken in the bacon fat and removed. Sweated a small diced onion for a couple of minutes till soft then deglazed the pan and all the brown bacon goodies with chicken broth. Added remaining items along with the chicken and pasta. Tossed with fresh basil and cheese. It was a big hit! Thanks.
