About this Cook
I'm married to my high school sweetie & father of two wonderful children. We are all animal lovers. I love my job, working with MRDD individuals. Creating new recipes is one of my favorite past-times when I'm not spending QT with family & friends or cooking with them!
My favorite things to cook
My own creations, mostly. I can still remember me and my lil cousin combining ingredients to create recipes at only 8 yrs old & getting my first easy-bake oven... even now, baking AND easy recipes are my favorites = D
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking desserts for the holidays is a fave of mine! We have a few 'secret' recipes that are still secrets too!
My cooking triumphs
I usually revise recipes to make them my own... I think most good cooks will tweak a recipe to their liking. Also, I don't like using measurements.
My cooking tragedies
My first year of Home Economics, my group caught a towel on fire on the electric stove.

No Roll Pie Crust I
The ease and simplicity of this recipe, alone, deserves 5 stars***** Any oil can be used and many additives, depending on your pie, work well too!

Easy Cheese Ball II
This is a great base recipe... you can add meat(s), cheese(s) and veggie(s) of your choice and I've made this w/Italian dressing mix as well (w/pepperoni, olives & green pepper bits! My favorite is making a cheese-ball snowman, using black olives for eyes, a ready-cut mini carrot as the nose and a green or red pepper scarf... buttons are optional like everything else!!!

Apple Crisp II
ONLY REAL CHANGE I MADE WAS THAT I USED JARRED APPLE HALVES TO CUT DOWN PREP & COOK TIME BUT WORKED PERFECTLY! note: WATER IS NOT NEEDED W/READY TO COOK/EAT APPLES*
