Hot Onion Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
This was very good and practically gone at the end of the party. Next time I will make a few changes. I think it needs more onion & some garlic. I will make again with my changes. We at the dip with crackers and it was perfect.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Tasted just like poppers with out all of the mess. I even used this mixture and stuffed it inside of Chicken Breasts and Hamburgers. It was great with everything! I will continue to make as a dip and a stuffing!!

Mexican Style Shredded Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Loved it. Was very good we had it in a "bowl" with all the fixings. I did not make the rice, I made my own version of rice. The only thing I did not have was chipotle sauce, so I added some salsa and some dry chipotle seasoning. This has already been requested again.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This was very good. I was not too sure about it when I first saw it. If you like pork & cheese you will love this. I added some onion slices on top of the pork chops before I added the bacon. They were great. I will make it again.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
This was very good! Of course the Italian in me added garlic, which you know makes everything better. I also mixed the cream cheese & green onions together a bowl and then put it inside the chicken. I think next time I will leave out the mayo& the milk, I don't think it needs it. This recipe will be made again for sure.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
The freaking best! I used Swiss, Provolone & Motz, b/c it is what I had and it was soooo cheesy & so good. The only thing I will do different is break the break up before putting it in the soup. I did not like the big hunk of bread that was hard to cut w/ a spoon, but that is a minor change. The soup was excellent!!!!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
This was really good! I used frozen bonless skinless breasts. I threw them in w/ everyhting else in the morning before work and by the time I got home the house smelled great and dinner was ddone. I left the tortillas whole and cooked them on a griddle on top of the stove. When they were done I crumbled into the bowl of soup. I added some sour cream, cheese & avacado to my bowl and it was FABULOUS! I will be making this again.

Hot Bean Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
Soooo Good! I made this for a party and doubled the recipe. After mixing it all up and putting the dip in a 9 x 13 pan I was having second thoughts about doubling the recipe... but to my surprise at the end of the night there was only enough dip left for me to have a few bites. I did not add the parsley and I added jalapenos. It was a hit an everyone wanted the recipe!

Simple Mexican Rice

This was just ok for me. I was expecting rice like I get from the restaurant. I think because I live in Texas I am spoiled to really great mexican food. This recipe was just missing something. I will try it again with a few changes & see how it goes.

Whit's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
OMG!!! The best freaking chicken enchiadas I have ever had and being from Texas that means a lot! My boyfriend who loves enchiladas, but not chiken ones loved this. He said from now on when I make enchiladas he wants these. I only added 3 things to the recipe. I added onion, bell pepper & about 1/4 C of enchilada sauce to the mixture before filling the tortillas. Oh, and I used corn tortillas and extra jalapenos - we like it hot here in Texas! Thanks for the recipe!

Venison with Sherry-Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
My boyfriend and I loved this. The only thing I did not like was there was not enough sauce. My boyfriend LOVES sauce of any kind & he puts it on everything. So I had to add extra wine, beef stock & cornstarch to make more sauce. Other than that it was fabulous!!

Marinated Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
I loved this! I had friends over & forgot about the pretzels in the oven. The 1st batch cooked 15 min instead of 10, and they came out burnt. The sceond batch I remembered about and they were excellent. A few people did not care for the dill. Everyone wants a batch, so I will be making them again just w/o the dill.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Great! I used italian bread crumbs only b/c I thought I had stuffing then realized I did not. The only thing I added was garlic powder to the egg & bread crumb mixture. It was wonderful and I will make it again for sure.

This was good. I did make a couple of changes. I though I had a can of green chilis but did not so I used fresh jalapenos, I always have them in the fridge. I also added some onion & garlic to the mixture. It turned out great. Next time I will have to try it with the green chilis.
