This one I just didn't like at all. The vinegar and ramen did not work for me.

Marinated Flat Iron Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
I love the marinade. I went exactly by the recipe. I let it marinate for three days in the baggie in a refrigerator. What I don't enjoy so much is this particular cut of meat. I think it was grilled properly (it was pink in the middle), but it's just a tough cut of meat. I will absolutely use the marinade again on a different cut of steak.

Cherry Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Delicious! Time consuming (pitting cherries, pre-cooking chicken, other prep) but a unique flavor that will make it all worthwhile. Very, very good.

Aussie Chicken

I'm calling this "Thousand-calorie chicken" in my recipe file. It's sooooo good, but save up your calories for the day, because one serving of this is almost 1000 calories! It's delicious as it is. If I wanted to scale back on some calories, I would omit the corn syrup and use low-fat/light mayo. Keep the cheese fatty, though. Who wants cheese on top of their dinner if it won't melt! I will DEFINITELY make this again!@@@!!!

Italian Chicken with Garlic and Lemon

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
We really didn't like the combination of vinegar and potatoes. The acidity/flavor was too pungent for us. It's a matter of personal preference: my mother would have liked it. She used potatoes with vinegar, also worceshire sauce. Without the vinegar, we would probably have loved it.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2005
I didn't use any oil to brown the sausage and didn't miss it. I rinsed it really well with insty-hot water in the sink in a strainer to get rid of any excess fat. I also used fat free half & half instead of cream. This recipe was DELICIOUS, and I didn't miss any of the excess fat. We will definitely eat this again and again. Also, I got impatient waiting for the sauce to thicken, so I sprinkled in a little flour and cornstarch. I almost overdid it, so it was probably unnecessary. This dish is even yummy served leftover and cold the next day! I love all of the garlic. I skipped the hot pepper flakes in hopes the kids would eat it (and my Italian sausage was the mild version), but they still found it too spicy to eat. They are six, four, and one, so that's not too surprising.
