I really liked this recipe! I made a few minor changes and it was delish! I used sliced mushrooms and onions and instead of onion soup I used Emeril's Essence seasoning (I can't do MSG) LOVED this roast and will make it again.

Grandma's Meat Sauce

This was very good! I used 1 lb of sweet Italian turkey sausage and 2 lbs of lean ground beef. I also added a diced onion and a apckage of mushrooms, chopped, at the time I added the garlic and like others I added some wine towards the end of the cooking time. I like my sauce a tad sweet and 1/2 tbsp of sugar did the trick. Overall a very good basic meat sauce recipe that can be adjusted to your personal tastes!

Creamy Caramel Flan

This was very good, actually better than I expected. The only problem I had is that there were a lot of bubbles on the bottom (top when inverted) around the edges of the flan. I was hoping for an all-over creamy texture. Anyone know why this happened?
