I'm happily married. I work full time. I have 3 boys - 21,19 and 13, and I adore my 2 dogs - Brewski and Brady.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook big meals for friends and family. I love to cook Italian - I think my sauce is one of the best I've had anywhere!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everyone (I think) looks forward to Christmas Eve at our house. We have friends over in the late afternoon for a holiday open house with appetizers and cocktails. Then at around 6 PM, I kick everyone out, and my family sits down to my homemade Pork Pie and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
My cooking triumphs
I did a couple of catering jobs on my own and my customer's were thrilled with my food and presentation - I am very proud of that and wish I had time to do more.
My cooking tragedies
For whatever reason, I have been unable to master really good BBQ ribs. Oh well, maybe someday!!!

Broccoli Salad with Margarita Dressing
I made this the other night to serve with grilled cajun chicken. I didn't use the mushrooms just because I don't like raw mushrooms. The salad was fantastic - thanks for the new summer recipe.

Chicken Scampi II
I made this last night and my husband loved it. I cut the chiken breasts into strips and dredged in flour, then followed the rest of the recipe exact. I added a little more lemon and garlic than called for and also poured in some white wine to make a little more saucy because I was serving over linguini. Yum Yum!
