Bob's Awesome Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
Superb, Bob! This went into my "Quick 'n Easy" file... but where are the spices and herbs? I used half cottage cheese & half ricotta, and added more onions, chopped green pepper, more garlic, some basil, oregano, cayenne... and THEN started tasting.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This has the ingredients I used when my kids were little, but it was always a slapdash meal and I never wrote it down. It was great to find it in print, with all the moistness when hot AND the easy slicing when cold! Thanks, Suzanne!

Fabulous! An unexpected delight from an unusual combination. I made a huge batch and shared it with friends, along with copies of the recipe.

Fast, easy and delicious. The lime juice gives a slight tang that makes this recipe really special. It is going into my Family Favorites file!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I am one of those people who don't generally like brussels sprouts, but I had half a box in the freezer to use up. I nuked them for 1 minute, ran them under cold water, patted them dry, and followed the recipe exactly (for the amount of sprouts I had). They turned out great!

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry with Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Needs twice the sauce for best flavor and to coat the chicken and broccoli sufficiently. Add some peanuts or cashews for crunch. Also good with basmati rice.

Port And Mushroom Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
Add the port wine LAST, not along with the white wine, or you'll have trouble thickening the sauce.

Rosemary Sherry Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
Try reducing the oil to 2 tablespoons, adding a bit more if needed. Try tarragon instead of rosemary. Also, depending on your pork, simmer 1/2 to 1 hr. for really tender chops.

Simple Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
Excellent and Easy. I use bottled lemon juice, which is less "lemon-y" I think. I added twice the oregano and lots of pepper. Yum.

Shipwreck Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
Great basic recipe! I only had pinto beans, but they worked fine. Next time I'll be sure to have kidney beans, though, and maybe try a can of corn, too. I followed the suggestion to add a packet of taco seasoning, and the stew was delicious with no other flavorings. I also used fewer potatoes and cut them in small cubes so they would be completely done in the 4 hours I had to cook this recipe in my crockpot. Yummy.
