Nothing to contribute except it was surprisingly good. Definitely recommend this dish.

Caramelized Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
as another reviewer said, I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could. Incredibly easy to make, and more importantly, incredibly easy to prepare. No marinating necessary, no complex preparation or cooking method. Amazing. I personally didn't change anything, and I'm not sure I would unless I had to.

Ethiopian Vegetable Bowl

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Really simple recipe with surprisingly good flavours. I followed the suggestion and doubled the spices but didn't change anything else. I was worried that it wouldn't have much flavour as the smell wasn't that strong, and before it finished cooking it was a little on the bland side. I resisted the urge to add more spices and it proved to be the right decision. Thanks for the great recipe.

Super easy, but mixed reviews from some of our guests. I personally enjoyed them.

Steamed Fish with Ginger

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
This definitely tasted authentic to me. Very easy to make, and nice flavours. I don't have a bamboo steamer (or any other kind of steamer) so here is what I did- I filled the bottom of a large pot with water, then put a bowl in the water. Then I placed the plate with fish on it on the bowl (about 3cm above the water level) and put the lid on the pot. There you have it, the easiest home made steamer.

Followed the exact recipe, and thought it as good. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. About as easy to make as it gets.

Simple Malaysian Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
5 Stars because it tastes great, and is one of the easiest dishes to prepare. It is one of the few dishes that taste better than smells while you are cooking it.

Great flavour. Don't make it if you don't like sweet wings. Otherwise you will love this simple recipe.

Eggplant and Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
Good but not great. I thought this stew had a nice suble flavour, but I was looking for a more robust taste. I added the lamb bones into the stew which added some flavour and tasted great the next day. Served it over couscous with a little yogurt on the side.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
I tried my best to follow the recipe, but I think mine came out wrong. The lentils turned into a kind of mush with the rice and onions. I followed the other sugestions of adding more onions etc but thought it was still lacking something.

Chutney Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
I thought this chutney recipe was average. I have had much better chutney chicken in the past. The simplicity of the recipe is the best part, however I think some of the people who really liked this recipe have not experieced the joys of chutney before.

Eggplant Antipasto

Loved this recipe. I made it a couple of days in advance of my diner party, and could barely resist eating it before hand. I didn't change anything from the recipe, but next time I will add more mushrooms.

Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
Fantastic salad. With each bite a different part of the salad comes through. Great combination of textures and flavours. This was also very easy to make and only took about 20 minutes (or maybe less). I also added the sunflower seeds and would highly recomend doing so. I will definitely make this again.

Rich and Creamy Roasted Eggplant Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
This recipe inspired me to sign up here. Really enjoyed it. Not to difficult to make, just a little time consuming (almost two hours for me). We added some rice we had left over wich gave it a nice texture. This would also make a nice breakfast.
