Stuffed Peppers for Two

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
This recipe has perfect ingredients and proportions. I also cut my peppers lengthwise. I used a tip and put a hole in my peppers to drain the grease. I mix the remaining tomato sauce with some trimmings from the pepper tops and cook it in the microwave. This way the sauce doesn't get mixed with the grease and works just fine for the gravy for the mashed pototes. I think that people who change everything in a recipe are only showing off. I think they should enter their own recipes.

Easy Chicken Satay

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
I never had chicken satay before so I had no opinion before making this. I am not a fan of chicken breast but this is a wonderful way to cook it. Everything was perfect except there is enough dipping sauce for five pounds of chicken. Saw where someone was freezing it so I will also. A new taste and recipe which everyone loved.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
This is a fabulous recipe. We like whole wheat bread so I replace two cups of white flour with two cups of whole wheat flour. I sometimes have trouble proofing my yeast but I found a fool proof method. I set my large metal mixing bowl in a few inches of warm water in the sink and then I mix my warm water, sugar and yeast. In about ten min. I always get a perfect proof. I am new at this bread making and this recipe makes me a pro.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
fABULOUS. With essentially the same ingredients, this makes a fantastic hamburger. The onion soup mix is what makes the difference.

Easy Baked Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I used a smoked boneless ham and prepared according to the recipe. The pineapple juice and ginger ale completely washed out all of the salt and flavor of the meat. Will never use this recipe again.

Pork Liver Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I have been looking for a recipe like this for years. It is like the old German farmers around here used to make. My only change was to process the meats, onions and spices very fine in the food processor. It turned out a lot like braunsweiger. Which isn't bad. Excellent.

I have been looking for a recipe like this for a long time. It is like the old German farmers around here made years ago. The only change I made was to process the meats, onions and spices int the food processor unil they were super fine. It turned out a good bit like braunschweiger. Excellent.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2006
I took this to camp for our annual pork cookout. I cold smoked 9 lb. of Saint Louis style ribs for a couple of hours and proceeded from there with the recipe. Seven of us ate all of the ribs which shows how much we thought of them and liked them. I now have to make copies of the recipe to hand out.

New Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2006
This is a great recipe and close to what I have been looking for. I cut the potatoes before cooking and added a tbs. of vinegar while cooking. This keeps the potatoes firm after cooking. I supstituted yellow mustard for the vinegar and it turned out like I wanted. The oringinal recipe was fine but I had to adjust to what I was looking for.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
We are not big Tex-Mex eaters but this recipe really went over well. After reading the reviews, I used pinto beans and covered them with enchilada sauce. I tried it once with pinto beans but it is much better with black beans. You have to hide the leftovers or you will be out of luck.

Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
I took this to a Legion pot luck dinner. A German couple who attended gave this a 5 star rating. I thought it had just the right blend of all of the ingredients.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
I didn't have minced jalapenos so I added a 10 oz. can of RO-TEL diced tomatoes and green chilies. Had to add an extra 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese due to the tomato juice. They were fabulous. Have made these several times since.
