About this Cook
I have very little time to cook but I prefer home cooked meals to another frozen entree. I have a deep freezer and I'm trying to make better use of cooking ahead without going the casserole route.
My favorite things to cook
I prefer baking to cooking. Cookies, bread and muffins are my favorites. I do love eating tofu and prefer to prepare it myself than eat the deep fried or gelatinous blob you get in restaurants.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I get together with my Mom and three sisters to bake Christmas cookies every year. My son has never been interested in baking with me but I have high hopes for his baby sister.
My cooking triumphs
The last time I had friends over for Indian, they said it was the best they had ever had.
My cooking tragedies
I have cooked my way through quite a few Weight Watchers cookbooks. Some of the recipes are awesome and some have been awesomely bad.

Indian Spiced Chex(R) Mix
I made this for a Halloween party and it was great! I used garam masala instead of cardamom. The garam masala I used is a mixture of black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin, coriander and other indian spices. I think this gave it a more complex flavor than straight cardamom. Also, I used 1/2 tsp of cayenne and there was plenty of heat.

Make sure the marscapone is good. Do no sub cream cheese.
