Mom and I - Thanksgiving 2007
About this Cook
I'm 28, have been married a little over a year and have really enjoyed having someone to cook for. He isn't picky and will eat everything I put in from of him. We dont have any kids...yet. I own a Curves, so I try to find yummy healthy recipes for my members. I like talking about food and learning about other's cooking experiences. That's why the reviews are one of my favorite parts about this website.
My favorite things to cook
I'm really starting to lean toward vegetarian. I have a spinach casserole that has been handed down from my mother, I should probably submit it on allrecipes.com : )
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother was an amazing cook. It's really how she showed her love. My mother was always trying new recipes so I think that's why I like experimenting too.
My cooking triumphs
I made a flawless Thanksgiving dinner for my in-laws one year. I'll always remember that because I was so nervous. Looking back I really enjoyed it and it boosted my confidence in the kitchen.
My cooking tragedies
Nothing major...yet.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker
The most tender pork I've ever had! Perfect because we love garlic. Might cut soy down a Tbsp. next time, other than that, it was perfect for our Easter dinner!

Lemon Zucchini Bread
This was really good, next time I'll add slighty more cinnamon, but it's my new staple zucchini bread recipe.

Mom's Cucumbers
This recipe reminds me of a summer dish that my mother used to make. It was one of my favorites and this recipe is just as good. I left out the celery seed. It's such a crisp summer salad...YUM!
