Mom's Fabulous Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuit Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
Delicious Comforting Pot Pie! We really enjoyed it. I love that it can easily accommodate whatever leftovers are on hand. Hubby doesn't care for pie crust, so biscuits were a hit, although I made homemade instead of canned.

Magnificent Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2014
Great recipe! I, like many others, used this as a base and added cubed cheddar, olives and garlic as a personal preference. I also left out the parsley and used flavored rice wine vinegar.

Creamy Italian Dressing I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
Terrific dressing! I used a smaller amount of Splenda instead of sugar and used reconstituted dried onions as I had no sweet fresh onion. Very tasty & extremely easy.

Tater Tot Casserole

Great base recipe and easy to change to personal preferences. I left out ketchup, added dry onion soup mix to hamburger and added green beans. Also used the entire bag of tots.

Delicious and Oh so Easy! As another reviewer suggested, I baked them in the oven for 10 min @400 and then tossed. Great warm and better cold.

Pot Roast Dips

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
Doesn't get any easier than this! I too, left out the dry onion soup mix in favor of Ms Dash to reduce sodium, otherwise followed exactly. Delicious meal to feed a crowd with very little effort. *Second time I made this I added sliced onions - Great!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
Delicious! Only reason for 4 stars, I changed it; Splenda & Splenda Brown, reduced butter to 1 cup. (I don't know why all the crisp recipes have you cut in the butter - it so much easier to melt it and mix). We LOVED having a bottom crust! YUM!

Sausage Gravy III

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
So simple and delicious! I did use butter instead of margarine, and added some fresh minced garlic. Just mixed it all together and didn't bother to remove the sausage while making the roux. Perhaps next time I will add a bit of cayenne to spice it up more, but quite a good recipe as is.

Fried Cabbage II

Delicious! I used red wine vinegar and followed the rest of the instructions as written. Very good flavor. A good way to introduce cabbage to non-believers :)

Stir-Fried Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
So easy and you can change up the veggies to suit your taste. I used Brown Minute Rice and half a bag of frozen stir-fry vegs, added fresh green onion, cabbage and mushrooms. My dh who "hates" brown rice, LOVED it!

Our new favorite! Changed up a few things according to dietary restrictions - left out salt, used Dreamfields low-carb pasta. Great flavors!

Oven-Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
Not once, but THREE times my husband remarked how wonderful these potatoes were! I used russet potatoes and didn't peel them, just scrubbed and cut into fry sized chunks. Also added a bit of cayenne pepper to the seasonings. Very crispy and great flavor! Simple and delicious, thanks for sharing this recipe.

Lemon Broccoli Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
Nice fresh taste, a good light meal. I did as other reviewers advised, and added more lemon juice (fresh!) and more garlic. I look forward to trying it with chicken added as others mention.

Ground Beef 'n' Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
Sorry, but we did not care for this recipe. Tasted like an uninspired spaghetti sauce w/cheese & vegetables. I did add extra seasonings as others suggested, but won't be making it again.

Split Pea Soup without Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
Great soup. Simple and delicious. I did add a bit of bacon and some seasonings. It was THICK and hearty. I believe the trick is to not rush it and it thickens beautifully.

Wonderful! I didn't have sour cream so went with other users idea of mushroom soup and added Mrs Dash and Worcester sauce. Also used fresh mushrooms and prepared mustard. Very Good. Will make again.

Pork Steaks

Yum! I don't usually favor pork steak, but this recipe is really great. The sauce reduced down to a beautiful gravy and the meat was very tender and delicious. Definitely a keeper!

Cathie's Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
Great! Trying to do the low carb thing, but was afraid chowder would be too boring without potatoes. NOT! So full of chunks you don't even notice there are no potatoes. I did substitute milk for half and half, and added thyme and garlic salt. Very Yummy! Will make over and over! Thanks for posting this Cathie.
