Split Pea Soup with Rosemary

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
This soup was wonderful!!!! I loved it, instead of bacon I used country ham and it was really good. I also had to let it simmer for 2 hours for the peas to soften up, other than that I didn't change anything. The rosemary added an excellent flavor, my husband loved it. I plan to make another batch tonight to freeze since I have some leeks and split peas left over.

Denise's Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2006
Yummy!!!!This will definitely go into my rotation. I did add creamy peanut butter as many others suggested so the sauce was thick enough. I aslo threw in an asian vegetable mix that I got from teh frozen foods section and served over thai noodles. I ate it for lunch the next day and the leftovers were evn better!

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
This recipe was a huge hit and my husband drank all of it in one weekend! I followed the recommendations of using blackberry wine and 3/4 cup of rum so that it wasn't too strong. I am not a big drinker so I am always thrilled to find a drink that I truly enjoy. I have already made another batch for this weekend. It is best when prepared and allowed to refrigerate overnight.

Chocolate Rum Balls I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
This recipe is great, excellent flavor! I am suppose to be letting them rest for a week but I find myself sneaking a few out of the container each day. The only thing thatI changed was I used coconut instead of nuts. It was delicious! I got the idea from one of the other reviewers to put powdered sugar on my hands to make them easier to roll and had no problems. I saw that one person had problems with the wafers, I put them in a heavy duty ziploc bag and rolled them with a rolling pin which took no time. I have made 2 batches and am sure that I will be making more before the holiday season is over!!!

Chocolate Rum Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
This recipe was great, I baked mine a little too long so be careful of the baking time. It was a hit with the family and the amount of rum was just right (not too strong)!

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
This was a hit at a breakfast we had at work! I did tweak it based on the recommendations of others. I added some salt and red pepper. I also used sausage instead of ham, cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken, I added 6 eggs and mixed them in with all the other ingrediants. I also cooked the hasbrowns beforehand and I added green peppers and onions to it. I left out the butter and used shredded cheddar cheese on top instead. I used 8 oz of sour cream instead of 16. Will definitely use again.
