About this Cook
I originally hail from the southwest side of Chicago and now live in the middle of cow country Wisconsin, and I LOVE IT. I'm newly married to an Ozzie man and we are still working on his visa to come over here and live permanantly.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook very "homey" foods. I'm 100% Polish and follow alot of the recipes I have gotten from family. Some of my favorites to cook are pierogie, goumpke, saurkraut and ribs...I could go on and on but you get the idea! I could also live on soup...any and every kind.
My cooking triumphs
Making Tamales, Pierogie and Wonton's and Ravioli.
My cooking tragedies
Oh lord the list could go on for pages and pages!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Love this recipe. Did add extra ham and omitted the salt. As we like things a touch spicy added a bit of cayenne & some garlic powder. So easy to make as well...oh and did add a bit of instant potato.

Slow Cooker Ham
I don't know what happened but I followed the receipe to a T. The cooking time is WAY over what is really needed, I'm glad I was watching it as I stopped cooking it when I saw that the top half that was not soaking in the liquid was drying out...the part that was in the liquid was all stringy. Not sure if it's my taste buds or what but I did not care for this.
