Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
These rolls were easy and a fun thing to do with my stepdaughter. The house smelled wonderful and I used them to serve sloppy joes.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2014
I loved this - for the ease of preparation, the healthiness, and the lemon makes a nice finish. I used frozen stir-fry veggies and the fish was moist and flaky. Served with jasmine rice. Great weeknight dinner.

Easy After Work Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
I followed the advice of other reviewers and added some garlic powder and paprika to the flour. Sauteed some chopped shallot in the butter along with some mushrooms. An easy weeknight dinner

Chicken Shawarmas

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2014
I had garam marsala and was glad to find another recipe to use it! Chicken is very fragrant while cooking. I warmed up the pitas a little bit - my only problem was getting a rather healthy bite of garlic mayo where the garlic was too strong. I think I didn't throughly mix it (I'll make sure to do so next time) or use a little less garlic. My husband and I liked it

Jan's Quick-N-Easy Yakisoba

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2014
Enjoyed the sauce, great flavor and so quick to make! Used asian rice noodles that I had on hand and used a combination of ground beef and some shrimp I had in the freezer. Delicious! Topped with fresh cilantro.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2014
I had frozen rice onhand so I threw that in with the browning ground beef... I needed fewer servings so only used 1 can of tomato soup. I filled peppers halfway, sprinkled parmesean cheese then added more stuffing then topped with cheddar cheese. My husband liked it, but next time I'll slice the peppers in half vs stuffing a standing pepper.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2014
I liked it - would consider this a solid weeknight rotation recipe. That's a good thing, a busy parent needs some "go to" recipes to feed a few or a lot...

I made this for a breakfast to serve to houseguests and it went over very, very well. Can't believe how easy it was!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 27, 2014
Make sure you try to remove as much of the silver membrane from the back of the ribs to make them easier to eat (less tug) I followed RobsRibs review and used a dry rub on the ribs. They were in the fridge, wrapped in non-stick sprayed foil, for about 5 hours. They went in the oven at 250 degrees for 2 hours (maybe a bit more)then my husband used apple wood chips and grilled at 350 for 30 mins or so... The ribs were very good - fall off the bone goodness. We topped with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Yum!

Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: May 16, 2014
Marinated the chicken thighs for 6 hours and doubled the amount of onion - I sliced two onions into rings instead of one. In making the sauce, I noticed that I had a little bit of 1/2 and 1/2 to use up so I added it to the reducing sauce. Everyone liked it, my husband said "wow, this is really good!"

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: May 14, 2014
Used breadcrumbs instead of oats. What I liked the most was baking the meatloaves on a foil lined large rimmed baking sheet so the fat from the ground beef was left on the foil. The sauce for the topping was tasty!

Tortellini Bacon Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 13, 2014
I made this for my husband to take to work for his lunch. I used bacon bits (no strip bacon on hand) and he liked it. It was a good way to use up the frozen tortellini from my freezer. I'll make this again this summer, I'm sure.

Donna's Coleslaw Dressing

Reviewed: May 13, 2014
I used 1/2 and 1/2 because I didn't have heavy cream (I also wanted to avoid the fat and calories too) I think it did the job that I needed which was to make the bodacious broccoli salad from this website. Didn't have poppy seeds but it was good, no complaints from anyone and easy to whip up.

Crispy and Tender Baked Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
It was certainly easy to make and the skin was crispy. Next time I'll follow keebdaisy's review and rotate the chicken around a bit so the bottom of the thigh can get some crisp too. I wasn't "wowed" by this dish, my husband said he prefers some other ways I've made chicken. But for the simplicity factor this is a good recipe to have on hand.

Indian Style Basmati Rice

Reviewed: May 5, 2014
I followed Tunisianswife review and used ground spices that I had on hand. I had the cinnamon stick and cloves, though. My husband loved the aroma of this rice cooking and enjoyed every bite. I don't make this often but I should as it's very good.

Chef John's Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
I used 2 anchovy fillets while sauteing (sweating) the onion and celery. This is such a good sauce - although I would probably cut back on the amount of oil next time. As for those who are against anchovies - don't be! You'd never know they were there and they dissolve into nothing but flavor - no fish chunks or anything. I loved this and will make it again.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
I loved it. Followed Vicsgarden's review and skipped the first step of baking the chicken. Sauteed the mushrooms and chopped fresh baby spinach with some garlic. Poured into the bottom of the baking dish then topped with chicken breasts, poured sauce over then topped with parm cheeese. I didn't have mozzarella on hand. I really enjoyed it. Served with angel hair pasta with peeled and chopped tomatoes plus some finely chopped garlic. Rave reviews! In my regular rotation, thank you Bryan0320!
