About this Cook
I am a 44 year old mother of 2 (Boy 25 & a girl 22)and have been married to their father for 24 years.
My favorite things to cook
My grandmothers "Frosted" Meatloaf, it is so yummy that people who don't like meatloaf love mine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Eve Dinner. I invite friends over that have no family to share the Holiday with, it can be 2 to 20 people. I make prime rib, a duck or goose and for dessert my famous white chocolate frangelico mousse.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made my mother-in-laws Black Bottom Pie recipe, It came out perfect and she was so impressed, she told me her own daughters (she has 7, all great cooks) first attempt did not work out so well. I was so proud!
My cooking tragedies
My First few attempts at making cinnamon rolls,I kept burning them. It has been over 20 years now and my family still teases me ! lol

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf
My husband and I really liked it and it was easy enough to make for a weeknight meal. I did do a few things different. Like cooks befor me I added chopped onion & garlic to the turkey. Instead of cubes I shredded the cheese and used a little less because we do not like ketchup on our meatloaf so just befor it was done cooking I put cheese on top. It was yummy!

Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip
I made this for my office Christmas lunch and for Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone LOVED it and it is so easy to make. I made it just as the recipe says to. I didn't need to change a thing. You must give this a try.

Fresh Semolina and Egg Pasta
The was an easy & fun pasta to make. I had enough for two meals so I dried the extra noodles slightly and froze them. Like the reviews befor me I also used my Kitchen Aid mixer. I did kneed a little by hand at the end to get a feel for the dough. I also used 7 LG eggs and it seemed to work fine. I will make this again!
