Grandwich Breakfast Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
How can you go wrong with this? Texture is certainly better with regular bacon (not microwave/precooked). Delicious with a fried egg and cheddar cheese as well.

Chicken Alfredo Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
We definitely enjoyed this. For our tastes, it definitely needed more seasoning - garlic, onion powder, S&P. Biscuits were brown on top, but not cooked through at 20min, so I covered with foil for another 5 & they were good to go. Instead of just broccoli, I used a broccoli, cauliflower carrot mix & added some chopped fresh spinach just because be eaten. I'm sure any veggie combo would work fine.

Sweet and Salty Toll House® Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
We really liked these. They were fun to make and even more fun to eat. Not as "over-the-top" delicious as I was hoping, but definitely will be made again at our house.

White Chip Orange Cookies

These were very well received. I think I wish they had a little more orange flavor, but quite tasty as written.

Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
Really quite good. I have to admit I didn't expect much from this - was just trying to use up leftover holiday ham - but I definitely enjoyed it. The cheese sauce really is delicious. Thanks, Jodster - this one's a keeper!

Moist and Savory Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
We all definitely enjoyed this stuffing. I used more celery and onion than called for, and sauteed those in a couple tablespoons of butter before adding the broth & boiling. This certainly won't replace our family's holiday stuffing/dressing, but for a week-night dinner, it's a keeper.

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
All of my family really enjoyed this! When other people have made it for me, it always seemed too "soupy" but ours didn't turn out that way - it may be because I accidentally added all of the fried onions to the mix at the beginning (which I'll do again). For a twist, I also used the cheddar-flavored fried onions. Again, well-received by all.

Quick and Flavorful Vegetables

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
First off, I have to state that I used Chicken Flavor Boost as neither of the two markets I checked carried the Vegetable Boost. That being said, I had a 12oz package of fresh cut broccoli & carrots. Boiled until crisp-tender, drained & tossed with One packet of the Boost. They turned out quite tasty - so I feel sure 2 packets for 16oz would certainly be too much (assuming the Veggie Boost is like the Chicken). So, my advice, try it with the Chicken Boost & just one packet!

Chocolate-Filled Crescents

Really great & insanely easy. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so one of these with a couple of fresh berries made a perfect light dessert.

Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I thought these were really good. I scrambled the eggs until "just" done with salt & pepper. They're difficult to roll & may not turn out so pretty, but taste great - and would surely be a great "grab-n-go" breakfast as leftovers......if you end up with any (we didn't).

Classic Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
So....Stinkin'....Yum! Not only had I never made caramel corn, I'd never popped popcorn on the stove. It's ridiculous how easy both were. This will be a staple at our house from now on.

Caramel Corn Treat Bags

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
Such a great idea! First of all - I can't believe Caramel Corn is this easy!!! I'm kicking myself for all of the years I've spent "big bucks" on the tins of it! Adding all the extra treats made for game-day fun for the kiddos as well as the grown-ups. Hubby & Son then made their own little sacks to take to the deer stand. This is a winner!

Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage, Endive, & Blueberry Salad with Toasted Pecans

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
We really enjoyed this salad! My grocery was out of fresh endive, so I selected a mix with endive included. Also the al fresco (R) brand is not available in my area, so I opted for an alternate brand of fully-cooked apple-chicken sausage. I toasted walnuts to replace the pecans and feta for the goat cheese, because they're what I had on hand. The dressing is delicious even without oil! You could change this up so easily with various fruits/nuts/cheeses, even other meats - makes for a great lunch with a lovely presentation.

Easy Weeknight Bacon Mac 'n Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
All three of us really liked this. I used mini-rotini pasta (3 cups was about 10 oz, so don't use a full 12 oz or it may get too dry). The only other change I did was to mix up cheeses - for the sharp cheddar I used about 1/4c sharp cheddar, 1/4c mozzarella and 1c 3-pepper colby-jack (added a nice smocky kick). I didn't use the red bell pepper as I didn't have it on hand. Oh, and I added black pepper (I just always think mac & cheese needs it). Easier than making a traditional roux, this one we'll do again!

Easy Weeknight Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
We thought this was "OK". Based on other reviews I made adjustments. I marinated the chicken for about 30min in Italian dressing & garlic before dredging in the panko. I also opted to bake the chicken (I'd used tenders) in a 350degree oven for about 25 min. I knew immediately what others meant about the sauce being too thin, so I made a roux of 2t oil & 2t flour, browned that & then added the Progresso Recipe Starter. Brought that to a boil & simmered a few minutes while the chicken finished up. I did have to add additional seasoning to the sauce as well to fit our tastes. Poured some of the liquid in with chicken (as per recipe) and topped with mozz & remaining crumb mix & popped back in the oven for about 5 more minutes. Like I said, it was OK, but I will probably stick with my regular method for chicken parmesan.

Easy Weeknight Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Yes, it's and easy weeknight chicken pot pie. It was good, but certainly nothing to write home about. I think it would benefit from some additional seasoning and additional veggies (onion, celery, potatoes). It was somewhat lacking in flavor.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
SO Yummy! I used spicy venison Italian sausage & canned diced tomatoes. Also I realized I didn't have tomato sauce so I added an equal amount of crushed tomatoes - turned out great. On the second day, the tortellini had soaked up a lot of the liquid, so I added a little more beef broth before reheating and no one was the wiser. This is a keeper!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
De-Lish! My first time ever even eating zucchini bread - and it turned out great even with my numerous attempts at destroying it (crazy day). I even totally forgot the vanilla after digging around for 15 min to find it - Still tremendously tasty. I can't wait to try it again With the vanilla!

Summer Fresh Pasta with Tomatoes and Prosciutto

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
Great Summer dinner! This was very light, yet still filling - and SO fresh! I used grape tomatoes (quartered), because I had them on hand - wish they'd been juicier - I will go with regular tomatoes (per your instructions) next time. Thanks, Wyattdogster - this is a keeper!

Chicken As You Like It

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
This was Fabulous!!! I did increase the amount of sauce as others suggested, specifically: (my bird was over 5lbs.) I used 1 1/2c Italian dressing, 2 pkgs Onion soup mix and 1 teaspoon Oregano. Baked 45 min. Then I topped with 8oz fresh mushrooms, sliced, and about a cup of cherry tomatoes, halved, and baked another 30-40 minutes. The house smelled amazing and everyone cleaned their plates! The sauce was delicious over creamy mashed potatoes. This one's a keeper for sure!
