Elegant Artichokes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
We eat our artichokes warm so I'm more or less rating the dip. I'd like to give it three, but that might be a tad unfair because the flavors were different and I enjoyed it. That being said the vegetable oil was Horrid. I only used 1/4 cup and left everything else the same, didn't use the green peppers though, and it was Nasty. I didn't want to start over so I tried to absorb the oil off the top. I will certainly make this again, but I will OMIT THE OIL and possibly play with the amount of the other ingredients. I thought the vinegar taste was a bit overpowering, but my vinegar loving husband said that he might like it better with a little more.

Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
Maybe I'm on another planet, but I thought this was terrible. I used frozen strawberries instead of ice but that was the only change I made...until it would not blend, then added 1/4c milk. It tasted passable at first, gooey though, but it was enough to give me a stomach ache halfway through. If this had been my first protein shake I would have been turned off of them forever. I'll never make it again. I think I'll stick to my peanut butter for protein in the strawberry banana mixture.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
This is a GREAT basic recipe. I gave it 4 stars because it does take some adjustments. Like the other reviewers I upped the cinnamon, added ginger, nutmeg and cloves. I also reduced the oil, the chocolate chips and the bake time. WAY too overpowering, cut the chocolate in half.
