Creamy Chicken, Bacon and Tomato Pasta

This was pretty good. It just crossed over the line from being too bland, tho. Next time I think I will add garlic and/or onions to kick it up a bit. I cooked the chicken in a tbsp. of butter and sprinkled it with seasoning salt.

Rum or Bourbon Balls

I took these to a Christmas gathering and they were the hit of the party! I was concerned that they would be dry due to I used 3 cups of the vanilla crumbs (didn't read the recipe all the way through first!), but they ended up being fine! I used dark rum and didn't use walnuts (I had assumed that walnuts would be mixed into the dough - which is why I used extra crumbs). My first time making anything like this!

Hamburgers and Ketchup Gravy

Mmmmmmm - yummy! Nice and tangy! The hamburger part tended to fall apart a bit - especially when removing from the pan at the end. But it's such a hearty delicious dinner, who cares? :)

Garlic and Artichoke Pizza

I thought it was good! I used a refrigerated tube of pizza dough, roma tomatoes, and 2 cups of an Italian cheese blend. It was plenty as the tube of pizza dough doesn't yield a whole lot! Got a little done on the edges...maybe temp is too high or cut down on the baking time.

BBQ Cola Meatballs

I quadrupled the recipe for a party (but only doubled the amount for the green pepper), and it turned out pretty good! It doesn't have the overly sweet sauce, so if you don't care for stuff too sweet, this is for you! I also used frozen Italian meatballs instead of making them from scratch.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

I thought this was soooo good! I like the flavor of buffalo chicken, but always need a ton of bleu cheese dressing and milk to take the fire out of my mouth. I made this for a party, mainly for my wing-loving husband. I thought it was great!! It had that flavor I love without all the intense heat, which is perfect for me! Thanks!!

Bacon Quiche

Pretty good! Easy to make. I'm not sure if it's my oven, or if this is just how quiche is, but I couldn't get a knife to come out completely clean when testing for doneness.

Cheese and Bacon-Stuffed Pasta Shells

I had high hopes, but it just didn't work out. I thought the taste of the tomato puree was way overpowering. Using spaghetti sauce instead would've been a much better choice for our family. I subbed Italian seasoning for the rosemary since I don't care for it, and couldn't find Buffalo mozz so I used shredded. Nearly burned it since it was shredded and not chopped! (oops!!) I didn't have near enough filling for the pasta shells. Bummed, bummed, bummed. How many shells has everyone else used? I weighed out 8 oz but it was too many for the amount of filling.

Savory Crescent Chicken

So good and SO EASY! The only issues I had were the dough popping open when trying to make the bundles, but once they were cooked it didn't seem to matter. Also - instead of 1/2 cup chicken mixture use 1/3 cup. There isn't enough of the filling to use a 1/2 cup in each, but 1/3 cup was perfect. Thanks for sharing!

Mom's Hearty Beef Stew with Dumplings

Was very good! I left out the turnip since I couldn't find one at the store. The sauce/gravy was a bit runnier than I've had in other stews, but yet not thin enough to call it more of a "soup". We enjoyed this - thanks!

This was pretty good! Took some time to make (there must be an easier way to shred chicken!), but my husband really liked it. I left out the green chilies and the olives. Next time I'll use a name brand enchilada sauce instead of generic! ;)
