Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
I made these for Christmas dinner and they were so delish! I mashed the potatoes with milk and a full stick of butter. I also added several cloves of minced fresh garlic. Yum!

The Perfect Sunday Brunch Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
Delicious! It makes a TON, however! I cut the recipe in half for our 9 adult Thanksgiving dinner and there was still a little left over. Also - cut down a bit on the dressing. I think if using the amount listed it will be really too much. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Chex® Apple Pie Snack Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
Yum! The only thing I didn't do was add walnuts. I didn't think alot of the dried apples, either. The ones I had were rather chewy so next time I'll leave those out, too. Otherwise, yum!

Monkey Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
It tasted just like regular banana cake or bars to me. I didn't use the raisins, since I don't like them. I couldn't taste any rum flavor, and I used Myer's Dark Rum. It was good regardless. :)

Well... I thought they were good. Maybe not the champ-een of all choc chip cookies, but still a good cookie!

Garlic Basil Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
I wanted to give this a try since it had so many good reviews. I would give it 5 stars for creaminess and texture! The taste didn't do too much for me, tho. I could only taste the basil and no garlic. I will add that the basil wasn't overpowering at all. Very subtle. I don't think I'll make these again as written. Maybe I'll nix the basil and add more garlic and maybe some ranch.

Yum! I cut in half and left out the almonds. They went over very well at my meeting!

Cream Cheese Cookies IV

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
I used chocolate fudge cake mix. They turned out very moist and we didn't think they were too sweet at all. Just the opposite, in fact, which is a nice change. :)

Crescent Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
I made these for a meeting last night and they were yummy! I used the reduced fat crescent rolls, and I think that using the regular ones would've been easier to work with. They gave me some trouble rolling up and such, but they still tasted good.

Rice Balls a la Tim

Quite good! :) Next time I'll use more sauce at the end, since we like our food "saucy"!

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
Here is what I did based on reviews: I only used 4 hot dogs and buns and a smaller baking dish. I used 1 can of chili, 1 tbsp. dried diced onions, and 1 cup cheese. I left off the mustard due to personal preference. I opened up the hot dog buns with the crust side up, per another reviewers suggestion. Turned out pretty good! Even one of my picky sons ate it.

Savory Crescent Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
So good and SO EASY! The only issues I had were the dough popping open when trying to make the bundles, but once they were cooked it didn't seem to matter. Also - instead of 1/2 cup chicken mixture use 1/3 cup. There isn't enough of the filling to use a 1/2 cup in each, but 1/3 cup was perfect. Thanks for sharing!

Pork Chops to Live For

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This just didn't do it for me. It had a different flavor - almost fishy in taste and texture! I made it as written, and I definitely think it could have used something extra to add to the flavor. Sorry! :(

I made this for my daughter's 4th birthday. We're not coconut fans, so I just used frosting. I received lots of compliments!

Creamy Chicken, Bacon and Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
This was pretty good. It just crossed over the line from being too bland, tho. Next time I think I will add garlic and/or onions to kick it up a bit. I cooked the chicken in a tbsp. of butter and sprinkled it with seasoning salt.

Rum or Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
I took these to a Christmas gathering and they were the hit of the party! I was concerned that they would be dry due to I used 3 cups of the vanilla crumbs (didn't read the recipe all the way through first!), but they ended up being fine! I used dark rum and didn't use walnuts (I had assumed that walnuts would be mixed into the dough - which is why I used extra crumbs). My first time making anything like this!

Hamburgers and Ketchup Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
Mmmmmmm - yummy! Nice and tangy! The hamburger part tended to fall apart a bit - especially when removing from the pan at the end. But it's such a hearty delicious dinner, who cares? :)
