About this Cook
I'm a SAHM to three great children, ages 8, 6 and 1.
My favorite things to cook
My husband loves Italian, and I love to make it for him! I also enjoy experimenting with vegetables to increase the healthy quotient in our meals. I've also been making homemade bread in the bread machine a great deal instead of buying it, packed with preservatives and twice the price, at the grocery store.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has a special recipe for Swedish meatballs which we make EVERY Christmas. We also make Swedish Coffee bread for Christmas morning (mmm-mmm!).
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married, I bought a roaster chicken, intending to cook it in the crock pot. I took it out of the bag and it so closely resembled the original chicken that I became almost ill. I gave the chicken to our neighbor to cook and enjoy.

Fresh Fig Cake
My family loved it. We made it into a bundt cake and drizzled melted chocolate and butterscotch on top. The figs add a wonderful, fresh, unique flavor and we were thrilled to find this recipe! Thank you!

Artichoke Chicken
I mixed sour cream and mayo, per other reviewers suggestions. I sprinkled bread crumbs on top. Pretty good that way!

Classic Waffles
Very good basic waffle recipe. We added chocolate chips, too, for the kids! Yum!
