Iced Tea II

Delicious! I mix black tea with a couple of fruity tea bags to make a light and refreshing fruit tea. No lemon needed in that case! I used half the sugar.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
This recipe is toddler approved! My 3 kids gobble it up. (granted, they love broccoli to start with) Delicious as is, but I added carrots, frozen corn, and cooked chicken to make it a little heartier. I cooked the broccoli to death and didn't bother pureeing it at all. Grab some tuscan bread and call it a meal!

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
This was really greasy. Did anybody catch the fact that you don't drain the fat off the meat because it just sits in the sauce to cook? I'm sure it would have been better if I'd baked the meatballs first (as per the other reviews). Not worth the calories as is.

Fluffy French Toast

This was alright. It tasted like bread dipped in pancake batter, which, if you want bread-shaped pancakes that is fine. I think I'll stick with my eggier version.

If you are using this as a breakfast, I'd recommend cutting down on the sugar. The kids loved it, but WOW. Too sweet for breakfast! Delicious though!

Apple and Spice Cookies

These are great! I added the apple juice and some vanilla to the butter/sugar mix. No nuts, so I added an extra cup of apples. Make sure to let them cool before removing them or they'll fall apart. Great autumn recipe!

Phenomenal. I used chicken breasts and I broiled them. They were SO flavorful I could not believe that there wasn't any salt added! Makes an unbelievable chicken salad, wrap, club salad, etc.

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Great recipe! I cut the cayenne back to 1/4 (for a double recipe) and that was just the right amount of "background kick" I needed.

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

Wonderful! Added 1 tsp vanilla, used real 1 lemon and zest, 1/3 cup apple sauce for half of the oil, and POPPY SEEDS! :D I had to lower the temp to 375 because it looked like they were burning. Will make lots more!

WOW. Made it completely as is, only put it in a 9x13 for about 30 minutes. We LOVED it!

Slow Cooker Barbeque

AMAZING. I threw a frozen chunk of beef in the crockpot in the morning, covered it with Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce (plus a little water to swish out the bottle), added a sliced onion, and cooked it on high all day. Shredded it at the end, threw it on a bun w/ cheddar cheese on top. PERFECT! Serve w/ baked beans and KFC cole slaw to be in heaven!

Next time I will soak my beans overnight because they took forever to soften up. But once they did, yummy! I had left over pork loin that I threw in instead of ham and that worked great. Happy New Year!
