Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2013
Delicious any way you make it! Straight up, by the book as written, or with half the butter and sugar, etc. Really how can you go wrong with these ingredients? :)

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
Awesome. I doubled the marinade and omitted the green onions (4 yr old refuses to eat them). I also used flat iron steak since I had it on hand. I have made this several times, and it always turns out great. I usually steam some broccoli and stir it in towards the end. Serve over white rice. Great as leftovers too.

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Great! I used the whole package of bacon (just because it would have gone to waste otherwise). That's the only change I made. Husband and I both loved it. Quick and easy.

Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Excellent! I couldn't find tandoori masala so I just left it out. Also, the only "curry paste" I could find was red curry, and I think that's what made the dish a little spicy. My husband loved it! Oh, and I did string the cardamon pods together like someone suggested. Easy to fish them out that way. Served over basmati rice. Plenty of leftovers. Thanks!

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Great! I've made this several times, as written, and with a few variations. It's a great recipe as is, but I typically use sesame oil instead of canola and double the garlic, soy, and honey. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Pretty good, but I wish I would have cut back on the poultry seasoning because I think it was a tad overpowering. I will definitely make this again and tweak it to suit our personal taste. Thanks for the quick and easy recipe!

Creamy Mustard Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
I must admit that I didn't have high expectations for this one, but it turned out much better than I thought it would! I made it exactly as written, except I used garlic pepper instead of lemon pepper. Good but not wonderful. It gets 4 stars since it was super quick and easy.

Pork Chops with Apple Curry Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
I made this last night and it was great. The only change I made was to the temperature and time - as others suggested I baked at 350 for 30 minutes - and it was NOT done. I had to put it back in for another 10 minutes or so, but I admit my chops were fairly thick. I just served with plain white rice, green beans, and a simple salad. I thought the amount of curry was just right!

Faux-reos

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
Wow, these are good! I baked for only 8 minutes because I didn't want them to get too crispy, and they were perfect. The only complaint I have is that this makes a huge batch and they are hard to resist!!!

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
Very easy to make. I used half and half and doubled the sauce, as per other's suggestions. I served it over angel hair pasta. It was a big hit with my husband! I would definitely recommend using fresh tarragon. Yum!

Chicken Hurry

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
This was super easy and quite good. Very flavorful. I used chicken tenders since it was what I had on hand, and didn't change any other parts of the recipe. It was just a little too sweet for me (maybe not enough chicken compared to how much sauce was there?), but my husband loved it. I should have served over rice, as others suggested, that would have been delish!

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: May 8, 2007
I've made this several times now, and it is always a big hit! The only change I make to the original recipe is that I use all ground beef instead of sausage (just a personal preference). It's wonderful. Thank you!

Coconut Rice

Reviewed: May 8, 2007
I made this tonight, and it was pretty good, but more curry flavored than coconut. I used jasmine rice, and only simmered for about 15 minutes. Next time I will add more onion, or something else to give it a little more zing. Still, it was quite good!

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
I thought this recipe was quite good, and very easy. I dredged the chicken in flour (as someone else suggested) and I doubled the capers (as others suggested). My husband had seconds, which is always a good sign!

Pork with Peach and Black Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Yummy. I used almost the entire can of black beans and used medium salsa. I was liberal with the cilantro. I served it over some basmati rice. My husband and I both loved it. Super easy and quick. This will be something I definitely make again. Thanks!
