My name is Kellie. I'am 29 years old. I live in Wayland, NY. I have 2 kids. A boy age 10 and a girl age 7. I'am a single mom. I decided to go back to school and get a degree in substance abuse counseling. I am also going to get my master's in social work with my back round in mental health. When I have that I want to work in a children's jail/home. I just think that if I could even help just one child it would make the whole process worth it to me. I don't eat very much meat so I like vegetarian recipes. Although when I left my kids dad I moved back in with my parents and they are the meat and potato type. So it's kind of hard to come up with things to make for dinner. I think I'am gonna sneak some tofu in the chili and see if they notice. I really don't have any fovorite things to cook. I like to eat soup and salad a lot so I guess that is as close to a favorite as I can get. I love to try anything new. My best friend is half Korean and my kids dad is half Vietnamese so I really like asian food. My sister also turned me on to Indian currys and I've made a couple of those. She said they tasted just like at the resturant. Yeah!! When my godmother still lived in New York State, for the holidays she would make all the cookies. I remember going over to her house when I was younger to help her and go Christmas shopping on black friday. I loved that. Now she lives in Rhode Island and does it with her daughter to bring back when they visit. She said she has just as much fun as I did. When everyone is quite through the whole dinner and then say how good it was. It just makes me really happy to see everyone love the food and get full. So anytime that happins is a triumph to me. I can't make gravy. I don't know what I do wrong but it never turns out right. My dad thinks this is very funny and makes fun of me because I ask him to make it.
