Thai Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
Very tasty, I didn't use tahini because I don't like it. I upped the Peanut Butter and rice vinager to 1/3 cup each and added at least 1/2 cup of sweet chili sauce to taste, I also added a bit of curry. I used seitan and marinated tofu and it was awesome! Oh, I also only used one large red pepper because I hate green peppers.

I made exactly as the recipe said and mine turned out very sugary and didn't taste like it hardened up the correct way. Won't make it again

The World's Best Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Everyone commented on how good this was. The only thing is it didn't say what type of champagne to use. I searched the web for some time before I found another recipe similar and it said they used Asti Spumante. So that's what I used and it was very good.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

made this for my meat eating friends and they loved it. I didn't add bacon bits or worcestershure sauce cause I didn't have any and subed chicken for beef bouillon and it turned out fine.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
I just wanted to tell you a frosting secret from my father-in-law, he was a pastry chef is Europe for many years. He doesn't use the sweet frosting he melts chocolate or white chocolate and frosts the cookie with that. He will also make the white different colors (just food coloring) and puts in a decorating bag with a tip and decorates each cookie. It's the same chocolate you melt at Christmas to make candy. He melts it and adds just a bit of oil to the choclate and mixes it. Much better then that sweet powder sugar frosing.

Mandarin Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Hi Shelby, I agree I don't like to use the onion soup mix either. I searched and found a homemade version here is is.. 3/4 cup dried minced onion 1/3 cup NO MSG beef bouillon powder 4 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp celery salt 1/4 tsp sugar Directions Combine all ingredients. You can store it in a ziplock bag or air-tight container. It keeps for quite a while.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
I've been making this for the past four years and everyone loves it! I use the large can of crushed pineapple and make sure to drain it very well (even squeeze the extra juice out) and add dried cherries as I'm not much for the sweet cheries. I've never had a problem with it being gooie by adding the extra cherries.
