Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Way to easy to taste this good! I did add 1 tsp. of poultry seasoning to the chicken mix. I also used my large crock pot to make sure there is enough room for the dumplings. Thank you for the recipe.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
Super Yum! I think they are better than pecan pie! The one thing I try to remember is to make sure to press the crust up the side of the pan to make it where when I pour the filling it will not seep under the crust. Then it will burn and that part has to be tossed. Bummer to toss all that goodness! These are always a big hit at any get together. Thanks for the recipe.

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
Using the butter flavored Crisco makes all the difference in these cookies. They have a crunchy edge and a tender, gooey center. SUPERB! Like others have stated, make sure you have plenty of milk. Ours only made 2.5 dozen using a medium cookie scoop.

Broccoli and Ramen Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
Yummy! I used almonds because that is what was in the pantry. Also I only used one packet of the seasoning to cut out some salt. It was very good. We like it with the noodles crunchy. As they soften it takes away the appeal of the salad to us.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
These cookies were a hit this Christmas. I found if they are small the cherry flavor really is best. The choc topping is super delish! A bit hard to roll, but well worth the effort.

Yumola! This is a great recipe! I did double it and it made five burritos for us. I did add about 2 tsp. of cumin. I do think that corn would add a nice touch next time. This is a keeper! Thanks for posting.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
How EASY! This turns out a super moist turkey breast! I did thicken the 'drippings' into a turkey onion gravy. Makes my mouth water to even type this out. This is now the only turkey breast recipe I will ever make! Thanks Ms_Sally for the recipe!

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
WOW! These are good. I took a chance because of all the good reviews on this one. Cottage cheese in enchiladas?! I am so glad that I did. These are excellent! I stirred 1 1/2 cups of grated cheese into the sour cream, cottage mix to cut down on a step. I also used a cooked whole chicken, de-boned and shredded. I used two cans of enchilada sauce, but,I did not increase any other ingredients. I dip my tortillas in the sauce before I fill them to keep them soft and they won't crack. This made 25 enchiladas. So good!! Thank you for this one!

Homemade Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2005
Very yummy and easy too! We are studying through the Little House series and wanted to try to make butter-the easy way! We used the liquid that we pressed out of the butter for buttermilk cornbread. We added 3 drops of yellow food coloring to the cream before we started. What a tasty lesson!
