About this Cook
I am a happily married 26 yr old living in Ketchikan, AK. and mom of two precious girls. Abby is 2 and my other daughter Rowan is 10 mo. old. My husbands name is Will and I like to cook tasty and most of the time healthy meals that dont take a whole lot of prep or time.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking things that are of course delicious, but dont take a whole lot of time or effort, remember mom of two dont have alot of time. I love the slow cooker and I LOVE to cook traditional things but adding ingredients that you wouldn't usually use to add that wow factor. I am also a MAJOR SWEET eater, so as you can imagine I LOVE LOVE LOVE to make desserts, cookies, and things of that nature.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am originally from the South, so I cook alot of things like Pot Roast, Lasagna, Chicken Fried Steak, Baked or BBQ Chicken, anything grilled, ect... My dad is a big sweet eater too, so I also know how to do really traditional desserts like Apple, Cherry, Blueberry, pies.
My cooking triumphs
I dont know if I actually have any triumphs, but I loke to cook a Baked Ziti recipe from this site when we have guests over and I ALWAYS get asked for the recipe. I love it when someone asks me for a recipe, it lets me know that I must have done something right, lol!!
My cooking tragedies
I think my biggest fault is a lack of salt. I tend to not salt things because I hate salt. I just dont have a good sense of saltiness. I also have alot of bad luck making soups or stews.

Alfredo Mostaccioli
This was soooo good and even better - EASY!! I wish alfredo sauce would reheat well!!! I did double the sauce which was the perfect amount for a 16 oz box of pasta and added 1/2 c extra of a 3 cheese blend (asiago, romano, parmesean) I will definitley be making this again, maybe next time I'll cut down the butter just a bit.

Red Velvet Cake III
I love red velvet cake and this was my first time making it. It turned out awesome!! I didnt have the instant pudding mix so I used one of those individual chocolate pudding cups and it still turned out great. Used store bought cream cheese frosting, mmmmm cant wait to make again!!
