Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
These are awesome! I halved recipe, but I shouldn't have because my family was fighting over them. I did use reviewers suggestions of adding salt and extra vanilla extract. I also was careful to cook them only 11 min, and let them cool on the cookie sheet. They were just barely beginning to brown on the edges and didn't look quite done, but I think this was key to the softness. I actually made them for my brother and had some set aside for him and he didn't get them till a couple days later, they were still very soft and good.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
These were really good! I made them for company and everyone seemed to like it. I made them following the recipe but then added a little extra sauce because the meat looked a little dry. Great flavor!

This was pretty good. I'll make this again but next time not add all the sugar. It was a little too sweet.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2006
I did not want to stop eating this it tasted so good! I did add fresh mushrooms and a clove of garlic to the sauce. I just sauted them in the same pan I browned the meat and then added the wine and let it cook down a little bit, then added the soup and milk until it had warmed up. I only baked for total of one hour and they came out perfect!

Mexican Rice II

Very good with a few changes. I use minced garlic instead of garlic salt and add a little chile powder to spice it up.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
YUMMY! This recipe is a keeper. My husband is not fond of chicken but he had seconds of this, so I know it was good. I did add some cumin and a few dashes of cayenne pepper. I am all for recipes that don't take a lot of work but taste really good, this is one of them.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
Overall the cookies were pretty good, but I would not say the best I have had. A little too salty and had a sandy texture. I think if I make them again I'll use less salt and increase the brown sugar. I also sprinkled some white sugar on the top before baking, I think this helped a little with the taste.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
These were great! Wasn't able to grill so I broiled instead. I used the pinapple juice from a can of pineapple chunks and then made jasmine rice and added the pineapple to this and served the chicken over the top. The kids loved it!

Monte Cristo Sandwich - the Real One

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
I didn't think these were very good, my husband thought they were just OK. The batter did turn out light and crispy, but inside the sandwich seemed to be greasy. Maybe the oil needs to be hotter so it does not soak up so much grease.

Mandarin Orange Chicken

Very good flavor! I added the mandarin oranges in last as suggested by other reviews and they still fell apart and made a funny texture. I think next time I will just leave them out and it will be perfect!

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2005
This dish was excellent! I added some broccoli and used brown sugar instead of white. The sesame oil really adds to the flavor! I added it to the marinade and drizzled a little over the dish when it was done cooking. I only marinated 30 min and this was plenty. I will make this again!

These cookies were OK. Cookie was a little bland and the frosting was a little too sweet. They were not bad but my family didn't care for them.
