Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
I made this to accompany our Christmas ham and everyone loved it. I topped it with crushed fried onions, that took it to another level of deliciousness!

Yummy Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
The first time I made this it completely separated when I baked it, there was this disgusting oil slick on top of it and I had to throw it away. I had enough ingredients to try again, and I was desperate for a dish to take to a party, so I mixed it up again and let it sit in the fridge over night, then once I got to the party I warmed it in the microwave, and it was delicious! I got rave reviews!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I didn't love this, but my hubby gave it rave reviews, that's why I gave it 5 stars. He's pretty picky. I added some garlic salt and onion powder to it before I baked it (in a 9X9) pan, and I still found it to be lacking something. I'm not a huge fan of poached chicken, so maybe I'll brown the chicken next time and see if it works out to be a little tastier to me.

Corn Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I was so excited when I first read this recipe and all the great reviews, but after following the recipe to a "T" it was hardly edible. It was so bland, we had to spice it up even more and that barely worked. It's sad to see so much food go into the trash. This one needs some work.

Chicken Flautas

These were good, just a little difficult to make. I think I'd try them again with a few modifications.

Traditional Abalone

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This is how we prepare our abalone, and it always comes out great. If we don't have bread crumbs (or want a different texture) we use Krusteaz Bake & Fry Coating Mix. We pound our 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch slices with the flat side of the mallet first to even it out, then with the tenderizing side. Don't pound it into paste, but pound it enough to knock all the toughness out of it. When it looks it's just about ready to fall apart, it is perfect. I can't stand it when it is tough, and I think this is why people don't like it.

Rice Mess

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2006
This got 3 stars because it was easy. The taste was very bland, it is a good base meal if you need something fast and easy, but be sure to doctor it up with something that will give a little more flavor.

Mike's Favorite Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
This is THE ONLY WAY to make a grilled cheese sandwich...what you do with it now is up to you. I highly recommend adding your favorite mustard to the inside of the sandwich before grilling, or some thinly sliced tomato, or very thinly sliced onion, use your favorite cheese (my hubby loves pepper jack!) and favorite bread (sliced sourdough is awesome). The possibilites are endless!

Peanutbutteriest Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
All the reviews I read didn't prepare me for how truly crumbly these are. Their texture is more of a sandy type cookie. I gave it two stars because the taste was not great, very peanutbuttery but not great. I added an egg and some more flour and they tightened up a little, but it wasn't enough to save them.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Everytime I make this I get asked for the recipe, everyone loves it. I've made it with beef, venison, pork and even chicken, it's all wonderful. Remember you can adjust the spice to the heat you enjoy.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ahhh, the classic grilled cheese, no frills, and just like mom used to make. Serve with a hot bowl of tomato soup and dill pickle spear for a great quick dinner.

My family hated this dish, the cinnamon was overpowering, and we couldn't eat it.

Delicious recipe, my husband loved it and took the leftovers to work the next day, and all his coworkers raved about it. Serve with Fritos scoops.
