Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2012
I have made this recipe several times and it is very good. I add toasted walnuts as they stay crisper after being baked in the batter. I also add chocolate chips sometimes. I am thinking of maybe adding some cream cheese ...maybe but it does not need it.

Cindy's Tasty Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
ONE IMPORTANT THING: you cannot bake these wings at 400 degrees because they will BURN! turn the oven to 375 and watch them. I bought the big box store 10# frozen wings in a bag and 1/2 bag of these is 5#. I defrosted them first so they would not be sloppy. What my store carries is Apricot/pineapple preserves, and Catalina/honey dressing is what I used and I added 2 tlbs of soy sauce. I also mixed all the ingrediants together before spreading on top the wings as it would be messy putting dry soup mix on top and then the other mixes... I just could not see why Cindy did not mix them together first. ??? I have made a similar recipe before. Good simple recipe But watch that they do not burn.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I made this for our dinner but with only 2 beef bouillon cubes I did add a couple of dashes of Kitchen boquet instead which makes it a delicious brown color and adds a wonderful flavor. I used Safflower Oil which I use often instead of vegetable oil as it is healtier. This was a rich and excellent recipe.

Taco Pies

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
I used 2# of ground beef for 2 DEEP DISH pies as I thought that just 1# was too stingy even with the other ingrediants. I used one envelope of Taco seasoning & used Dehydrated onion WHEN COOKING the MEAT as my husband does not like onions that much. I will also cook the pies all the way first as others have advised so it won't be soggy. I also used salsa as others tried and it made it much better and my husband said that made it more flavorful. I made the 2 pies for just the two of us and had the other in two days

Apple Pie in a Brown Paper Bag

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
I use another recipe I have had for years but you can no longer use paper bags as they are now recycled and the bag will burn. So I am going to try parchment paper as I think that is what makes the pie so good in covering it up. This is a very good recipe. Mary

Tamale Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
I made this for my New spouse and found it very dull without the CHILLI POWDER OR ANY OTHER SEASONING! Maybe she just forgot to add seasoning??? I added Chilli Powder and lots of it and Cumin and Tumeric. Also WHOLE olives NEVER cut them up as that is what makes it good or just half them. Mary

Tamale Pie II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
This recipe is too bland and all Tamale pie recipe's need either black olives or green stuffed olives to add some pazzaz! We used creamed corn CUMIN and CHILLI Pepper to taste! Mary
