Southern Praline Pecan Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
This is a VERY good cake and easy to make. I couldnt find the Butter Pecan mix so I used the Pineapple mix and it was delicious! I also used a cup of milk instead of water and kept everything else the same. I made these for gifts last night and got 3 8x4 loaf pans out of one recipe and baked them for 60 minutes. I made the test recipe this past Saturday and it is still VERY moist. I havent had any problems with the cake crumbling. I did not frost it either-it doesnt need it.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Great cookies! I doubled it and added a small bag of dark chocolate chip cookies and reduced the salt. I did bake them for 13. This is a keeper!

Cinnamon Bread Delight

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Very good recipe. I added a little more cinnamon and some nutmeg to the batter. I also used butterscotch instant pudding which gave it a deeper flavor. I was able to divide the recipe into 3 8x4 loaf pans (the aluminum ones from the store) and still baked it for 55 min. I sprinkled the cinnamon sugar inside the pan and on top of the loaves. I make 15 of them for Christmas. The bread stayed very moist for over a week.

Corn Spoon Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
I have been making a similar one for years but wanted to try this in the crock pot. I did change a couple of things-I doubled the recipe to cook in a 6 quart slow cooker. I added a stick of melted butter and some vanilla. I didnt have nutmeg, so I used pumpkin pie spice. I also used a total of 4 eggs instead of the egg substitute, use only 2 eggs if not doubling the recipe. I cooked on high for 3.5 hours and it was perfect!! This was better than my other recipe which used sour cream instead of cream cheese. I had rave reviews!! Thanks!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
Very good recipe! I doubled it and it made around 20 pancakes. I only had "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" and they tasted very good. I do think I will use real butter next time and add vanilla. I also used an extra tablespoon of sugar. They do cook up very fluffy. The extras I just put in a ziplock and kept them in the fridge and then reheated in the microwave for a quick snack!! This is a keeper!!!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This was great! I made some changes though-I saw 2 recipes from this site-Pretzel Salad II and this one-I did, 3 c. pretzels,3 tblsp confect. sugar (for the crust instead of regular sugar) 1c of confect. sugar for the filling and I sliced fresh strawberries instead of using frozen. I made this for Easter and it was the first and only dish to go!!! Everyone wished I had made two of them!

Texas Christmas Pickles

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
This is a great recipe! I have made these before but w/out the hot sauce. They are better with the hot sauce. You taste the sweetness first then the hot kicks in-they are great! I made 3 gallons for presents-putting them into jars.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
This turned out pretty good. I used dark chocolate cake mix instead of devils food. I think I will add more chocolate chips in the mix next time and melt some chocolate to pour over the top-overall it was a good cake and I will make it again!
