Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Mmm spicy! I had to use brown sugar because I didn't have enough white for inside the dough. I used 1/2 cup packed. When I put them on the cookie sheet, I didn't press them down, so when they came out, they were like little wee balls. They're really cute and very spicy! Great flavour.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Wonderful potatoes! This was exactly what I was looking for and the recipe has the quantities down perfectly. I cheated a bit and left the skins on my potatoes and just mashed them right up in to the mixture. It adds texture and fibre, hehe!

Coconut Crust

The crust fell apart on me. When I sliced in to my Thanksgiving pumpkin pie and went to serve the piece, I could not get the crust to stay together. It gets points for taste, though!

Vegan Baked Beans

They weren't too bad. The tomato flavour was a tad overwhelming. I would have enjoyed them more if there was another component to the sauce that competed with the tomato.

Blueberry Breakfast Sauce

I had to double the corn starch as well to get the consistency I wanted. A bit sweet, but otherwise, very good. I love how easy it was to make.

It's Chili by George!!

Really good just as written! I am happy to get rid of my old chili recipe for this one. We like our food spicy, so I didn't find the chili powder overpowering. I made it in my slow cooker too, but made sure to decrease the liquid ingredients. Great stuff!

Potato Cake

This was great! So great that I took a picture of it! :P It was super easy to make with leftover mashed potatoes. The first time I made it, I made fresh mashed potatoes and the cakes were difficult to form because the potatoes were still warm. So I really recommend using leftovers. I only ended up using leftover potatoes, cheese, and oil to make my cakes. And it still tastes great! Thanks for the recipe.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

These were amazing! I used fat reduced margarine in place of the butter and mixed the minced clove of garlic right into the batter. I did not brush them with butter when they came out. My boyfriend did like putting extra margarine on his as he said they were a bit dry without. I loved them regardless! Be sure to use sharp or old cheddar cheese!

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Wonderful! I added some red onion at the same time I cooked the garlic. I also used a precooked shrimp ring so it was really easy to prepare. We loved the flavour, but I will probably add more garlic. I also used fat reduced margarine in place of the butter. I served this with "Cheese Garlic Biscuits II" (from this site) and a ceasar salad. I'll make this again when I have a shrimp ring sitting in the freezer!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

I saw this on the Allrecipes homepage and just had to try it! Good thing, because this was a really tasty meal! I served it over rice and used hot Italian sausage because it was all I had. I also subbed oil for the butter. I boiled the sausages while I chopped the onions to get rid of some of the grease and then cut the sausages up after having boiled them to fry in the pan. I was so impressed with how this turned out. Thanks for the recipe!

Macaroons III

I was going to add this recipe myself, seeing as I made it last night, but I found it already on here instead! I used 8 cups of unsweetened coconut, 1 small can of sweetened condensed milk, and two teaspoons of vanilla extract. I had to use my electric mixer to mix everything really well. Simply drop these onto a well greased pan and bake for 8 minutes. They are fragile when they first come out, so be careful when you transfer them on a plate to cool. I love these simple treats!

Country Quiche

Just wonderful! I made this for brunch today and it was excellent. I didn't use as much bacon because I had only about 5 slices and I added about 1/4 cup chopped red pepper. I love how easy this was to make such an impressive looking meal. I ended up cutting it into six and ate two slices. My boyfriend ate three! I will add this to my recipe box and make sure to make it again.

Sloppy Joes II

Wonderful! I think I used a little more ground beef than the recipe called for because I had to use just a bit over a cup to get my mixture moist enough. The combinations of spices and condiments really are tasty! This is much better than canned sauce because you can play with the flavours yourself. I am going to try using some of the mixture between bread in my sandwich maker for lunch tomorrow!

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Very good soup! I added carrots, diced potatoes, cabbage, frozen peas and corn, and parsley. I cut the recipe in half and it still turned out great! The broth is flavourful and this soup with accept any veggies you throw at it!
