Labneh (Lebanese Cream Cheese)

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
Labneh is simple, versatile and great! i buy unbleached muslin cloth from the local fabric store. much more cost effective (and traditional). i form a bag around the mixture and secure with twine and hang over a bowl in the fridge for at least 24 hours... i usually go longer to get a firmer result then roll into balls and let them sit on paper towels to draw out a little more moisture. and store some in jars with evoo...but just plain is great too.

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
this is excellent. i added garlic and celery and creole seasoning. I "half cooked" the potatoes before adding and also browned the fletchers double smoked sausage i used. very very good.

The Best Bean and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
This is fantastic. Easily one of the best soups i've ever had. it smells SO good when it's cooking! and i've had nothing but rave reviews when i make this. please note that the original poster of this recipe "benvolentempress" posted a follow up stating that the recipe was not published exactly as she submitted it and leaves out some very key steps. i'd urge anyone trying this recipe to check out her follow up post. it's easily accessible as the first review just under the recipe.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
Like some other reviewers, i found this recipe to be a very nice presentation but a little bland initially. but interestingly, the leftovers were much better...no doubt due to the flavors having a chance to mingle. i really liked this recipe overall and want to experiment with it with some additional seasoning or perhaps a sauce that will compliment it over a bed of rice.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
Because of the simplicity of this recipe, frankly my expectations were not high. How wrong i was! Somehow, this simple recipe turns out one of the best chicken dishes i've tasted! And it's great for the budget minded also! Thanks!

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
this was excellent! i made it exactly to the directions...it's simple and very tasty. be careful not to reduce the initial mixture too much. as has been noted it's also a recipe that you can quite easily "tweak" to your personal preference...i'll be making this again! thanks!

Grilled Salmon with Habanero-Lime Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
Being an Alaskan resident and having traveled extensively throughout the state I have had the opportunity to sample many salmon recipes. This dish became an instant favorite from the first bite. The wonderful combination of ingredients coupled with fresh Sockeye was refreshingly different. I look forward to introducing this to my family and friends. Thanks so much for a great recipe.
