Grilled or Fried Skirt Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
Good recipe if you have this cut of meat and you are short on time. Didn't make my husband say "Wow!", but will make again. We added about 1/2 tsp garlic powder to give it more flavor.

Swedish Meatballs (Svenska Kottbullar)

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
Delish! I used regular milk instead of cream, and I left out the sour cream, and they were still fantastic. I also used 1 cup panko breadcrumbs, as I don't usually have white bread in my house. My mother used a package mix to make these when I was young, and the spices are right on, but this is much better.

Pumpkin Chiffon Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
My grandmother would make a pumpkin chiffon pie for Thanksgiving. I remembered it being the only pumpkin pie I ever really liked. This particular recipe yielded the BEST PUMPKIN PIE EVER!!!!!! It took some effort, but in the end it was light, fluffy, pumpkin-y, heaven. I will try to post a pic of our creation if I can...

Crispy Oven-Roasted Rosemary Chicken with Sausage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
Tasty, easy recipe. I used mostly sweet potatoes and bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts. Will definitely make again!

Five-Spice Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Wow! My husband and I were looking for some different wing recipes that were baked and these were fantastic! For an Asian recipe, it is really low in sugar, too. My husband suggested using some red pepper flakes next time to spice it up a bit. Overall, amazing recipe.

Awesome broccoli salad. Changed the proportions a little to suit our taste, but my husband and I couldn't stop eating it. Thanks for sharing!

Ranch-Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
A little too acidic for my taste. Reminded me of exactly what I don't like about bottled ranch dressing. Maybe leave out the vinegar and/or lemon juice next time.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

My husband told me that this was the BEST chicken he's had in years. We used panko bread crumbs, because that is what we had on hand. Crunchy, delicious, easy. Will definitely make again!!

Chocolate-Mascarpone Phyllo Triangles

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
This was one of the best-tasting dessert disasters I have ever made! I used puff pastry instead of philo dough, and I replaced the pecans with almonds. The puff pastry did not hold together and the filling ended up all over the cookie sheet and some burning on the bottom of my oven. Once it cooled, we scraped the filling up and put it on top of the pastry. Mmmm mmmm good.

Fantastic! My fiancé suggested adding a little hot sauce to the marinade, as he likes things with a little kick. Great change up for pork chops!

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Best tasting pie crust we have ever made. A little bit more difficult to work with than some other recipes on here, but it really made our 4th of July pie. Thanks Ruth's Grandma!

Spicy Chinese Barbeque Riblets

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
I didn't follow the recipe exactly, because I forgot to read the directions fully. So I ended up marinating the riblets in the sauce and then baking them in the sauce, covered for 1 1/2 hours. They were still delicious. Next time I will half the sauce to make it the way it is directed.

Corn Souffle

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
This was the first time I have ever made a soufflé, and I followed other reviewers suggestions about seperating the eggs and cutting back on the sugar. My family liked it, but we all agreed the corn could have been halved. It also didn't rise like I'd hoped, but I think that was due to my beating the egg whites too much. Tasty recipe, just could be improved a bit.

Adrienne's Tom Ka Gai

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
I combined this recipe with a few others I found online. Most notably, I added the Bok Choy last, otherwise it seemed overcooked. Great base recipe. I love this soup!
