Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
FANTASTIC!! As suggested, I whipped my own topping (half pint of cream with 3 T. sugar)and folded it into the pudding and used french vanilla cool-whip for the cool-whip layer. I also added half a jar of caramel topping to the brownies before I cooked them. It was more than a hit! I was requested to make a double batch the next time I bring it. Even though it is rich, they couldn't get a big enough piece. I plan to exchange the french vanilla cool-whip layer for homemade whipped topping in the future.

Love it! This is a great copy cat of Macaroni Grill's dish. Truly a delightful dish! I only changed one thing: I added sauteed mushrooms to the final sauce before serving.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
I used this on chicken; marinated for about 30 minutes and used my George Foreman grill. Pretty good but I needed some type of sauce for dipping. So I found a honey mustard sauce from this site and it was WONDERFUL. Will do again!

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Awesome! I baked it in a small pan and covered it for the first 15 minutes (as another suggested). I also doubled the sauce and smothered mashed potatoes with it. Wow. So yummy. Everyone loved it. It's so simple you can't go wrong!

Honey Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I wasn't sure about the flavor when I tasted it before brushing it on the chicken but once grilled the flavors married quite nicely. It was wonderfully light tasting. I do think I may marinate the chicken in this sauce ahead of time just to give it a little more flavor but it is quite good as a glaze. I will make again.

Great recipe. They were a Christmas hit! I didn't expect there to be a yummy syrup inside once cooled. It was a wonderful surprise. Love it.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
My family loved this. I doubled the marinade recipe and added about 1/8 c. (maybe a little more) of pineapple juice to thin it out since I unknowingly omitted half the oil. It still turned out wonderful. The skewers make it fun for kids as well! Quick and easy meal that will be a staple in this house!

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
I really love this recipe. I went with the suggestion of using butter and 3 c. of flour & roll them out with 1/2 c flour. The dough was durable and smooth. I really was not at all discouraged working with it. It held its shape through baking which for me sealed the deal. I've tried other recipes that seem to melt in the oven (very frustrating). If you are a novice this is a great recipe. Wonderful taste and texture. I love a chewy cookie!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This recipe makes a wonderful loaf. It is very moist and delicious. After cooling in the pan for 10 minutes and another 10 on a cooling rack I found it to be very soft. I think if you allowed it to cool longer it will set up enough for a clean cut. Love this recipe, thanks for sharing!

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
We all LOVED LOVED LOVED this meal it was fantastic! Because I was feeling too lazy to chop the onion I THINLY sliced the onion and made a bed of it for the chops to lay on and poured the sauce over the top of it all.Once the chops were cooked I strained the drippings and made a sauce by making a roux with 1 T. butter and 1 T. flour then added the drippings. The onions were an added treat (if you don't mind cooked onions). So sweet and tender. Served with Japanese-Style Sesame Green Beans (also on this site), mandarin oranges and plain white rice. WOW. As another suggested, it would be great to mix some of the sauce in with the rice (rather than just piling it on top). SO SO SO Yummy.

Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2006
My ENTIRE family (down to my 9 month old) loved this dish. Others mentioned that there was too much oil. I love the taste of sesame oil so I went with the full portion. It was great. HOWEVER, when using the juices to make a gravy it was evident that there was too much oil. So, as a marinade and cooking liquid, it's great as is. BUT if you are wanting to finish with a sauce I'd cut back quite a bit on the sesame. I think this would be fantastic on chicken and maybe even a beef roast... YUMMY.

Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
I am going to give this 4 stars although I am truly undecided. I have a problem with the flavor. I added to the chops Mrs. Dash, garlic & onion powder, season salt, pepper and salt and still felt it was lacking. My husband came to the same conclusion. It's missing something. I just can't figure it out. Cheese soup maybe? I don't know. The potatoes are yummy but the chops need something more. Maybe a slow cooker?? We both like it enough to make it again but I'll need to work on additional flavor.
