Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
Superb! I read the reviews before I made this, so I made a few adjustments... I added two boullion cubes with the chicken and veggies while they were boiling. Then, when I drained the chicken and veggies, I reserved the liquid for use in the "gravy" portion. While making the "gravy" I doubled all of the ingredients in it. When the gravy was done, I mixed about 1-1.5 cups of the gravy into the chicken and veggie mixture. I used a deep casserole/pie dish. I used regular 9inch pie crusts (next time will get deep dish tho) and lined the dish with the crust, poured in the chicken and veggie mixture and topped it all off with the rest of the gravy (or as much as would fit. I had about 1/2 cup of it left over). It only took about 30 minutes in the oven. DIVINE! My hubby has been telling EVERYONE about this pot pie, and my mother-in-law said that this was better than ANY chicken pot pie she's EVER had! This recipe will go into our regular rotation!

White Chili I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I have had this recipe for years. I make it all the time. It is SO delicious, my husband practically begs for me to make this. It is one of my favorites. I make cheezy biscuits to go along with the chili and they are both gone the day I make them! Delicious!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This IS an awesome recipe. I made it once for the first time yesterday, and my mom and my mother in law BOTH asked for the "gravy" recipe. They thought it was awesome! And it is. BUT... The recipe says 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low with 5-6 pounds of meat. Well, I had about 4.5 pounds of meat and added 10-15 small B size potatoes, and one onion chunked in large pieces, and a couple handfulls of baby carrots ( I have a HUGE slow cooker) and I DID do it on high for 4 hours. The veggies were'nt done and the meat was done just rare. So I let it cook for about 4 more hours and it was perfect. SO 8 hours on high. I read past reviews and I altered the recipe a bit. Instead of the water I used one can of reduced sodium beef broth, and still two cans of cream of mushroom soup and the whole packette of onion soup mix. It is delish! Hope this helps...
