Easy Brown Sugar Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
These muffins were just ok for me. The muffin was not very sweet. I would suggest adding an additional layer of brown sugar and cinnamon. I also topped mine with it.

Johnsonville® Italian Sausage and Pepper Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
This came together super easy! I love those kind of recipes. I served it on a sausage roll and added Ore-Ida tater tots on the side. This was a great meal to serve up in a hurry.

Johnsonville Italian Sausage Sliders

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
These were great and so easy to make. I used Johnsonville® All Natural Ground Italian Sausage(mild). These were very flavorful... no need to add additional seasoning. I enjoyed mine with a little mild cheddar. Yummy!

Chiliville Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
I made this last night with the Johnsonville® Italian Ground Mild Italian Sausage. It came out great. My tomatoes had onion, celery and green pepper so I did not add any additional celery. I also only used 1 tbs. of chili powder. I was concerned it may be too spicy with two. This was a delicious and hearty chili!

Creamy Beef Mushroom Barley Soup in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
This came out great. I did add an extra 3 cups of liquid and downed the barley to 1 cup. My family won't eat mushrooms so I omitted them and added one diced carrot and one diced potato. I did not add in the optional cream or green beans. Thanks for a great recipe!

French Toast and Spam Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
This was surprisingly good. I was very concerned about my french toast being too eggy but that was not the case. It was especially good dipped in the syrup. I did spray the skillet for the french toast but that was the only change I made.

Slow Cooker Potato Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2013
This soup had a great flavor. It was not thick like a chowder should be though. I added 1 cup of instant potato flakes to thicken it up. My family enjoyed this.

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
These were super yummy. The recipe came together great. I would have liked to have a more gooey roll. Next time I will rub the butter onto the dough and then sprinkle the sugar on top. This was a great recipe!

Just Peachy Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
I used frozen peaches thawed in this recipe and I chopped them. The consistency when I put it into the pan was as it should be. However this batter would have been better in one pan instead of two. It came out very flat. The flavor was good.

These were easy to throw together. My family loved them. I think they were a little sweet for me so next time I will try using 1/2 cup of each sugar.

Fruit Slush

This came out pretty good. I did cut the sugar down to 1 cup... I wish I had added the additional sugar. The OJ made this a little tart. My kids loved this!

These were a good shortbread cookie. They were very dry and crumbly. They have a great flavor. I would consider adding icing to these. The recipe came together very easily.

Creamy Peanut Butter Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
The peanut butter sauce in this recipe is fantastic. I used all of the sugar water so it was more of a syrup consistency. If I was basing my rating on the sauce alone it would have warranted a five star. I will definitely use it again. The pancakes as written in this recipe did not work. The batter was a dough after the addition of 3/4 cups milk. I added an additional cup of milk to get it to the right consistency. They came out alright after that but they were very sweet. I would recommend cutting the sugar in half.

Easy and Delicious Crusty Popovers

This was my first time making popovers... and eating one for that matter. The recipe came together very easily. My popovers did fall, not sure why. It had an eggy taste to it but it wasn't overpowering.

Easy Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
This was just ok for me. The bacon never crisped up in the first hour and a half. I ended up removing the foil and broiling it for about 5 minutes. I did add an extra half cup of tomato sauce and water to the casserole otherwise this would have been very dry. The bacon was an interesting addition to this casserole. It was not an overpowering flavor but the whole dish was kind of bland. It could use additional seasoning.
