E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2013
In regard to people with the flat biscuits- Too much milk- you are supposed to add it until "just combined"-- For me, it came to 1/2 cup of milk, not a cup- varies slightly each time, honestly.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
To make it awesome, I added lots of sage and a cup of milk at the end of cooking to even out the flavors. The thing that really took it over the top for me was the addition of sweet turkey sausage- The sage really works well with the sweetness of the squash.

Artichoke Salsa

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
I basically used this recipe as an ingredient guide-- i used at least 8 plum tomatoes, a can of olives, a can of artichoke hearts... Just served it at a party and it's all gone.. My fiance threatened to leave me if i don't make it again-- This is more a bruschetta topping than a salsa in my opinion so I served with baguette and wet mozzerella-- would also be good if you added capers to it (or subbed for olives)

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
Love the dressing minus the ginger (eeew ginger)- I tend to shred cabbage and the add to it green onions and whatever crunchy veggies I have on hand-- I sometimes marinate some chicken thighs in the dressing and broil them and top the salad with them-- really yummy addictive taste..

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This recipe is nice and rich- i tend to double the amount of mushrooms in it because we love mushrooms- i use low fat sour cream and more dill than called for-- really interesting flavors and don't skip the lemon and parsley at the end-- they really serve as a great flavor balancer-- love the layers of flavor in this one.

Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
Really yummy-- I added in a little cayenne pepper for kick but I think it would be good without it as well.. My fiance loved it and when i told him the "secret ingredient" he said "that explains why it makes me think of that asian salad you make" (I use peanut butter and cayenne in the dressing)-- I am a big fan of sesame and peanut oil and I feel that the peanut butter gave it a similar quality only the richness of the peanut butter was able to permeate the whole soup-- YUM YUM

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
Oh My God- SO good- took like 5 seconds to make- Like others, I pared down the cool whip (i used light) and instead of using 16 oz, I used 12- I didn't have pumpkin pie spice (and I hate the ginger in it) so i added some cinnamon and nutmeg-- I topped the dip with a shot of cinnamon which added a nice color to it.. Just served it at a party with graham cracker sticks and granny smith apple-- HUGE hit and people wanted the recipe-- People were excited about how easy it was to make...

Asparagus Soup in Seconds

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
Really easy to do-- I doubled the recipe and sauteed some onions and added it to the asparagus mix-- instead of using a food processer I used one of those nifty immersion blenders-- Added a lot of garlic powder and also added some boiled orzo-- used skim instead of regular milk-- This recipe was a good "jumping off" point to create new recipes
