My favorite things to cook
I love playing around with any sort of ethnic cuisine. I also enjoy baking, but it's not something I'm able to do as much anymore. There are only so many brownies and pies two people can finish off in one week.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas are a big deal with my extended family and my boyfriend's. Lots of great home-cooking.
My cooking triumphs
I have managed to tackle the dreaded pie crust on at least two occassion with total success. I can also make a mean chili.
My cooking tragedies
For everything successful pie crust, there are a multitude of failures. Otherwise, every under/over-cooked piece of meat I've been responsible for.

Cinnamon and Lime Chicken Fajitas
This is one of my regular recipes, definitely one I enjoy. As others have said, it is on the mild side but is easy to modify according taste. I usually use half a jalapeno for 2 servings and a whole lime (which also keeps the chicken moist). Sometimes I even add some cinnamon to the potatoes for more punch. The unusual (yet authentically Mexican) combination of flavors make this dish a nice twist on the same old fajitas.

Acorn Squash with Apple
I liked this. The apples and sugar added a nice sweetness to the squash, without being too sweet. The tip for peeling the squash was helpful as well, even though I'm not daunted by the skin myself. I somewhat prefer the flavor you get from traditional roasting, but if you want a quick and easy way to prepare squash, this is the one to try.
