Marty's Loosemeat Sandwich

Halved the beer,doubled the sugar,omitted the salt. Hubby has a relative that owned a maid-rite store in Iowa for years. This recipe is good,but not quite maid-rite. lol

Aunt Fannie's Dinner

Yummy meal! I added chili powder,paprika,4 cloves of garlic,half an onion,teaspoon of worchestershire,and a few dashes of tobasco sauce. I cooked the corn,tomato sauce,other liquids and stewed tomatos (yes,i used both)while cooking the meat,garlic and onions together in another pan. This is a great meal,the corn gives great flavor and texture. Dunno why anyone would whine about delicious corn flavor in ANYTHING! LOL

Blueberry Nut Oat Bran Muffins

Made these last night,and we loved them! Only change i made was to increase the cinnamon a half teaspoon and added half a mashed banana to the mix before folding in the blueberries. Yummy recipe!!

Very nice change from the usual chicken fare! Squirt with lemon or lime before grilling,yummy! Double the spices for more of a kick. Thank you for this recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

I would give this 10 stars !!! Very delish! Cooked the chicken ahead of time,this cut slow cooker time way down. Hubby walked in the door at dinnertime,asking "is that smell coming from our house?? YUMM!!!" I also tried this recipe with cooked lean beef,substituted cream of mushroom for the cream of chicken,and tossed it all into the slow cooker at the same time. It was the BOMB!!! Well after dinner was over,hubby wanted to heat up more and eat again! Thank you for this great dish!

Chicken Enchiladas II

GREAT enchiladas! I added a package of Onion soup mix,a couple dashes of chili powder and used corn tortillas instead of flour which i have never been able to stomach. Thank you for this recipe!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

My hubby raved about this one,it is one of TWO fave meatloaf recipes we are keeping! I have never liked meatloaf ever,until now. Kudos to the member suggestions of laying slices of bread in the bottom of the pan to absorb grease(also keeps the bottm from overcooking). We also love to cook the brown sugar/ketchup mix on top and sides of the meatloaf with small holes poked in to let the good stuff cook right in!

Ehhhh......i liked the filling,but my mind just would not wrap around the concept of pieshell. My tastebuds kept waiting for sweet stuff,lol. I will use this recipe in corn tortillas!

Harvested Chicken Stew

This is Delicious! Finicky hubby was wild about it,ate so much his tummy hurt,LOL. Out of my own preference,i left out the zuke,cut the broth back to 4 cups,added a can of mexicali corn,2 teaspoons of chili powder and wow! Hubby wants this in his thermos tomorrow! Thank you for this delicious recipe!

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

A very good comfort food! I mixed the flour into half and half instead of milk,and i added sausage and minced dried onion to the beef while cooking,because to me,ground beef is just too bland by itself in this recipe. Hubby gobbles it up!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This is our favorite recipe! I added a can of diced potatos to the other veggies and cooked all in chicken broth. I always try to use chicken or beef broth in place of water,so much yummier! Brush melted butter over the top pie crust for golden flakiness!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Hubby loves meatloaf,but i never did until this recipe! Cooked as stated,then 10 minutes before done,i covered the top of the meatloaf with a bit of ketchup and A1 mixed together,then added a very thin layer of brown sugar over the mix. To die for! Thank you for giving me a meatloaf i can finally eat with hubby!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

We love this recipe! Best taste for us was on the grill,but i did squeeze half a small orange into the honey mustard mix for a sweeter tang.
