Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
Oh,MY, absolutely yum-o-licious! and sooo easy to make, definately put in fridge for an hour before dipping. I was kind of slow on the dipping, and I could tell the difference in ease by the time i got to the end...next time I will keep half in fridge while i dip the other half. Yum, Yum, Yummy!

Best Ever Slow Cooker Italian Beef Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Well, tried to make as written as I am one of the first reviewers...turned out I didn't have an onion (thought I did, so didn't buy one), So I used some onion powder. It smelled great, and tasted pretty good. I think it's worth a try, but I won't make it again, and I don't think the onion thing made that big of a difference.

Nancy's Chicken in Puff Pastry

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
Easy. However, I cooked the chicken completely before "stuffing the pastry" and the pastry is what needed the extra cooking time, no less than 15 minutes, but probably more. I added mushrooms, Yummy! Overall good, not quite a 5, but very good!

Easy Mouthwatering Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2012
Well, I made as is with the exception of the spinach (forgot to get it). I hesitated with the salt, seemed like a lot, but decided to just go for it....WRONG. It was actually pretty good and easy to make, but WAYYYY TOO MUCH SALT. Smelled great while cooking, very easy to make, but did I mention that there was too much salt?

Marzetti® Hawaiian Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
First, I should mention that I absolutely hate coconut, and raisons, but I made the recipe as is for a hawaiian themed party. I must say, pretty darned good, it received many compliments (most really like the raisons). If I have another hawaiian themed event, I will likely bring this, but I won't make it any other time.

Justin's Hoosier Daddy Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
This is the best chili I have ever made. I did make some modifications based on other reviews. I used only 1/2 can of chicken broth, and added 1/2 can of beer. I used one can of pinto and one can of kidney beans both drained, but not rinsed. And finally 5 teaspoons of chili powder instead of tablespoons. DELICIOUS!!!!

Almond Crusted Pork with Apple-Rosemary Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
made as written. asked the hubby what he thought. He didn't like the apples or the sauce, but the pork was good....then he said, but I didn't like the crust on the pork..so next time you can take that off...in other words, he liked the pork only, and nothing else. i thought it was ok, but not real great. sorry, won't be making this again.

Ham and Cheese Strudel

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This is so good! I don't use the low fat stuff or egg substitute. I use about 6 eggs & scramble them like usual and then add the sauce. Makes about 6, we usually have leftovers which are only okay the next morning, but still good.

Absolutely the Best Nacho Dip Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
Well, good, different....my mother loved it, said it was "light", i didn't add the peppers, (not a pepper family). I did add diced tomatoes and 1/2 with olives. The Cucumbers indeed compliment the dip very nicely. All that said, likely wouldn't make it again.

Handsome Party Punch

Disappeared in less than 45 minutes. Unfortunately, i thought it would last and didn't have anything on hand to make more. Next time I will.

Rainbow Clown Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
How fun was that! I used the paste coloring, and went with pastels since it was for Easter. Looked so nice! I made cupcakes, unfortunately, I didn't guesstimate how many correctly. I tried to make 24, I really should have only made 20 to get some nice sized cupcakes (maybe even 18). Had a blast making them with my 7 yr old.

Root Beer Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
this was good, I couldn't find the root beer extract, so i just put in more root beer. I used canned vanilla icing w/root beer mixed in, which turned out very good as well

Island Yam Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
We had a Hawaiian themed dinner. This was good for the theme, but I prefer traditional sweet potatoes. I don't care for macademia nuts, but in this dish, it was pretty good.

Baked Pasta with Sausage and Baby Portobello Mushroom White Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
So, my husband literally inhaled his first plate (are you hungry honey, or did you like it?) inhaled his second plate (i had barely gotten halfway through my first) and even though he said he was full, went in for a third helping. I made the recipe as stated and will definately be making it again. Even my picky 9 year old asked when i would be making it again before he was even done eating....yep, it's a keeper.

My mother made these on Easter, but doesn't have an account, so I'm going to review it. Most of us didn't enjoy it, but "Yum" from my husband.
