Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
Well, that was ok. the meatballs seemed to have too much bread crumbs. It didn't really have a robust flavor like I was hoping. Good, more like average. I have definately had better. Made 19 smaller/medium meatballs, just fyi.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
My husband does the turkey every year. After years of telling him he should try this recipe he finally relented and agreed to try it (yes, to get me off of his back, but whatever). Guess what....everyone loved it, said it was the best one so far! Dare I say I told you so?

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
I mostly made as is...I didn't have fresh basis, only the dried stuff, and only about 1/2 tsp, and I forgot to add the parmasan to the sauce so i sprinkled it over. Served over elbow macaroni (because I had a ton of it) and it was very yummy!

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
Well, that may be one of the easiest desserts I have made. Very good. I was at a craft show recently where a woman was selling pumpkin rolls and had samples....it was sooooooo goooood. It's what made me try this, but this recipe was not as good as hers...very good, but there is better out there, and I will find it.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
Easy, very tasty, I would make again. Put on low at 6am, threw the carrots & potatoes in with it at that time, ate at 6pm. The meat was very tender & the veggies were perfect. My husband grabbed some BBQ sauce to dip it in (I thought he was crazy, it was great left alone), but then I tried a bite...YUMMY!

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Very good, and easy to make, but I agree, there was something missing. My son loved it and asked that I make it all the time. Hubby and I agree that I need to add something, dont' know what, the next time. I did try the celery salt, needs more. Also, made one package of chicken strips, could of halved the recipe and still had plenty of coating, and it only needed 8-10 minutes to cook.

It was ok. We decided that the idea was good, but needed work. We are going to try dipping the bread french toast syle, adding some ham/canadian bacon and maybe pre cooked scrambled eggs.

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
I loved it! Husband and child, not so much, but I believe there issue is with zucchini, and not the recipe. Didn't put onions in, still wonderful.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
I have wanted to make this for a long time, but was hesistant because of the length of time to make. But I had time yesterday. It was very easy, I didn't cut up the chichen until it was cooked, much easier to shred and saved time from cutting it up in the first place. Made recipe as written. Very good. Chicken was perfect, flavours were great. I have another recipe for chicken enchilada's that I ususally make and hubby loves, but he said that these were better and given the choice, he would pick these, look like a I have a new rotation recipe. My picky 9 year old even liked them! Oops, I lied, didn't make as written, left off the olives, we aren't an olive family.

Drunken Grilled Asparagus

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Gave it a four so as not to really affect the rating. I only had Merlot, and dijon mustard, otherwise made as written. I am writing this review, and realize that some may be upset, but I think others may be wondering, therefore I write. It was only ok. i was really looking forward to it, but it didn't really wow me like I had hoped. It was gobbled up at the bbq, and hubby who didn't want to grill it tried it and said that he might actually want to do it again...which speaks volumes, but it fell flat to me. I would love to try it again as written.
