Beef and Biscuit

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
It was good, not great. I wish I would have read the reviews first, I think adding some chili beans would have helped. My husband really liked it, said it was a "man's meal". I'll give it another shot with the beans next time.

Nancy's Chicken in Puff Pastry

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
Easy. However, I cooked the chicken completely before "stuffing the pastry" and the pastry is what needed the extra cooking time, no less than 15 minutes, but probably more. I added mushrooms, Yummy! Overall good, not quite a 5, but very good!

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
I've had this recipe in my recipe box for over a year and jus now tried it...SHAME ON ME! This was sooooo good! I cheated and used instant mashed potatoes (2 bags, total 8 servings) and precooked bacon. I also threw sauerkraut on only 1/2 in case we didn't like it....HA! I had to put some on the other half. My husband had....wait for it.....6 helpings! Although we loved it as is, he would like for me to try throw some kielbasa in next time, or taking out the bacon and sauerkraut and putting a beef mix in stating it would be a twist on shephards pie. LOVED IT, THOUGHT ABOUT THE LEFTOVERS ALL DAY AT WORK, CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE IT AGAIN!!!!!

I changed it to 5 servings since there were only three of us, and I regretted it as they were so yummy I wanted more and there weren't any! Unbelievably easy, and sooooooooo good!

Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
Easy!, I love easy! We served it over egg noodles. Disappointed that the flavor of the wine was non-existant, I would recommend adding a little more. While it was good, I have another recipe that is very similar that we prefer.

Gaucho Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
Ok, here's the thing, I don't really think this is a "dinner" item. We started to eat it as is, but my husband grabbed a bag of tortilla chips and went at it as a dip.....much better fit. And the spicy ranch that hockeymom089's son liked....perfection! While it was an overall tasty dish (as a dip & w/spicy ranch), We decided that it wasn't worth making again. Worth a try though.

German Lasagna

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
Very tasty & easy. Both my husband and I agreed that next time I will use egg noodles, or some other form of pasta. The Lasanga format wasn't really working for us on this one, but it was great overall. Definately a keeper!

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2007
Very good. Only used 1/2 cup butter for the sauce & I made the sauce close to the end instead of first. We aren't a fan of bacon, so I left it out. Otherwise, I kept the recipe intact. Yummy!

Fajita Marinade III

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2007
Very good, I didn't have Thyme, and only had time to marinate for about 10 minutes, but it turned out really good. It had a very zesty flavor.

Pizza Stix

Very easy, pretty good. Only thing I didn't like was frying it, maybe next time I'll try the phyllo sheets.

Justin's Hoosier Daddy Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
This is the best chili I have ever made. I did make some modifications based on other reviews. I used only 1/2 can of chicken broth, and added 1/2 can of beer. I used one can of pinto and one can of kidney beans both drained, but not rinsed. And finally 5 teaspoons of chili powder instead of tablespoons. DELICIOUS!!!!

Ham and Cheese Strudel

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This is so good! I don't use the low fat stuff or egg substitute. I use about 6 eggs & scramble them like usual and then add the sauce. Makes about 6, we usually have leftovers which are only okay the next morning, but still good.

Chocolate Toffee Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
My sister made this first, I took one cookie and thought it was just okay, but for some reason I couldn't get it out of my mind! The second cookie was wonderful and so addicting that I had to have the recipe right then so I could go home and make more....yummy!

Just as good as the stuff I can get at the deli. Not worth the extra time involved, but still very good

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2006
It was alright, i've had much better. **Update. I changed it a little, and it was great!. Dipped chix in flour, then egg mixture, then the flour mixture. Cooked in olive oil/butter. Once both sides were browned, I took out of pan & put in the oven at 250 for approx 15. For the sauce DOUBLE IF NOT TRIPLE IT! I used premade chix broth, approx 1 cup (wish i used more) added approx 2 tsp cornstarch and about 1/3cup sherry (I was out of white wine). I also added mushrooms, capers, and a little minced garlic and let it simmer while the pasta (egg noodles) cooked. YUM!
