Broccoli Beef I
It was okay.... We used brown sugar instead of white sugar, as recommended by reviews, and it tasted much better than the first time we made it. The white sugar made the sauce taste too sweet, so the brown sugar was a good alternative to take that down a notch. Still a bland dish though, at least when following the recipe. It really needs something extra to add some more flavor, maybe onions. We'll probably continue experimenting with this one. The ginger root and garlic was very yummy and noticeable in the dish.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
Sooo delicious with lots of room for changes! We couldn't find some ingredients, so we used a round roast instead of rump and Liptons onion soup mix instead of French Onion soup in a can. I messed up some of the measurements for the Beef Broth, Soup, and Beer in the slow cooker. Still turned out great! We made Au Jus gravy as a dipping sauce for the sandwiches, which was amazing, and a Garlic Cheddar Mashed Potato recipe (from McCormick, on their website) as a side dish. The potato dish really complimented the sandwiches, and the Au Jus was just... DIVINE as a dip. This recipe, along with the Garlic Cheddar Mashed Potatoes, will be a new regular in our kitchen.

Famous Butter Chicken
We've made this several times over the last year, and we absolutely LOVE it. It's not a healthy meal with the heavy butter, but it's delicious and very filling. We use Ritz crackers for the coating and as much butter as we feel like, enough to cover the chicken. The first couple of times the chicken came out a bit bland - this is because we used margarine, so make sure to use BUTTER. Also, as other reviewers have said, spoon the melted butter onto the chicken a few times as it bakes in the oven. DON'T FLIP THE CHICKEN OVER OR IT WILL BE SOGGY. It doesn't have time to crisp up again if you flip it over, but if you spoon the melted butter on top of the chicken, it sinks into the meat and leaves plenty of time for the top to crisp again! Delicious recipe, love it!
