The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
These were pretty good. I baked them for 12 minutes and I think that was too much. My cookies weren't chewy, which is the way I prefer them. If I make these again, I'd only bake for 10 minutes. However, I think I'll keep trying different recipes first.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
This was pretty good. I used 3 chicken breasts cut into strips and found I needed to bake it for about 70 minutes or so. I added a little sherry to the soup mixture (just because I like the flavor) and used cream of chicken & mushroom soup. A very simple recipe that I'll use again!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
Excellent and very easy! I only use about one and a half jars of spaghetti sauce. Also really good with italian sausage instead of ground beef.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
These are really good! I added dried cranberries and white chocolate chips, then sprinkled with sugar before baking. I'll definitely use this recipe again.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2005
Excellent! It was a little tricky getting the sauce to stay on the hot fish, but it tastes great and I'll definitely make it again. I love the flavor of the celery salt and lemon in this dish. I may even try this sauce on some pounded chicken breasts.

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
These are good! Mine were nice and crunchy. I'll make them again if I already have the oven on or am making multiple sandwiches. However, it still seems easier to fry the sandwich on the stove top if I'm only making one or two.

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
It was okay, but I won't make it again. I like the idea and how easy it was, it just didn't taste as great as I'd hoped.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
Excellent! Tastes just like KFC's. The only thing I did differently was use red wine vinegar since that's all I had on hand.

Banana Pudding IV

Really good! My dad requested a graham cracker crust next time, so I'll have to give that a try.

Hot Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2005
Yum! I added lots more hot pepper sauce and some diced jalapenos to spice it up, then threw it all in the crock pot. Very tasty and a good recipe to play around with. I don't often follow a recipe without adding or omitting a few ingredients, so this was no exception.

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2005
Excellent burgers! I forgot to put in the hot sauce, so I'm looking forward to trying it next time with some heat. I added minced garlic like many other reviewers suggested. It could maybe even use a little more blue cheese. I plan on making these again very soon.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2005
It's okay, but I don't think I'll make it again. Just wasn't too crazy about the sauce. Pretty salty and definitely tasted like it was made from a seasoning packet.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2005
Very, very good for a such an easy soup! I added lots of fresh cilantro, cumin, and chili powder. Also, rinse the chicken and black beans well before adding to the soup. The first time I made it, I just dumped it all in and the soup was an ugly brownish gray color. But the taste was still great. I use frozen or fresh corn because I don't really like canned corn. I was very pleasantly suprised to find that canned chicken isn't too bad (I've never used it before), although I still prefer to poach a chicken breast and cube the meat instead. I'll probably keep these ingredients on hand all the time now!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2005
Loved these cookies! After reading reviews, I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening to prevent the cookies from spreading. I used vanilla since I didn't have brandy and will probably not even try them with brandy, they had a nice flavor with the vanilla. Watch them closely so they don't burn. Great recipe!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2005
I loved it! But obviously you have to be a fan of cilantro to like this. I made it to use as a dip (which was great) and look forward to using it as a sauce on chicken or fish in the future. At first it was runny, but thickened up as it sat in the refrigerator overnight.

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

Reviewed: May 17, 2005
These are incredibly easy and taste great right out of the oven. They do dry out quickly, though. They didn't taste as great the next day, but they may not last that long at some households. I added butterscotch chips to mine.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2005
I'm not a huge fan of honey mustard, so I didn't expect to be totally thrilled with this recipe. But my boyfriend loves anything slathered with honey mustard and he enjoyed this a lot. He thought the sauce was excellent and had me make a little extra for him to dip his chicken into. So give this a try if you like honey mustard!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: May 16, 2005
This is a great recipe, I tend to make it a lot. I like to add a couple of cloves of garlic and fresh ground pepper to the broth. It looks more appealing if you strain the au jus before serving, but I don't always take the time to do it. I'm usually too excited to dig in to my sandwich! I also put provolone cheese on my rolls and broil them until the cheese bubbles. The leftovers are excellent as well!
