Chicken Savoy

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
Okay, I guess. I was expecting more. Pretty bland, I won't make again.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Excellent! I added a can of great northern beans right at the end of cooking. I also used a can of petite diced tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes. It tasted so good with crusty bread! Leftovers were great!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Bland. The only thing that made it decent was that I added nutmeg and used fresh minced garlic instead the garlic powder. The texture was a little grainy, too. I'll definitely stick to the traditional alfredo recipes with heavy cream from now on. This is a quick recipe, but it honestly doesn't take much longer to make the real thing. Sorry!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Very tasty with kettle cooked potato chips! I cooked the bacon in the oven until crispy and used a can of drained petite diced tomatoes instead of fresh. It tastes better when it can sit overnight so the bacon flavor gets into the whole dip. I topped it with some chopped green onions which added a nice mild onion flavor. This is such a quick and easy dip to whip up when you don't have a lot of time!

Chicken Chimichangas with Green Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
Tasted pretty good, even though I baked instead of fried them. I'm sure they'd be even better fried. The sauce was interesting, I think next time I'd only make a half recipe of it...we didn't use all the sauce. The filling is great, you can't go wrong with cream cheese and chicken!

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
Good soup, but wow this makes a huuuuuge batch! I definitely recommend starting out making only 1/2 the recipe. I got tired of it after about 4 bowls, so most of it ended up being dumped out.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
Pretty good, I love blue cheese so the gravy was great. I used very thick cut pork chops, but next time I think I'd try it with a thinner cut.

Pumpkin Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
Tastes great and waaaaay easier to make than pumpkin pie! I've tried both this recipe and the pumpkin fluff dip. Personally, I prefer this recipe....the cream cheese tastes so good with the pumpkin! Went well with graham cracker sticks and vanilla wafers.

Banana Chocolate Chip Dessert

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2006
Pretty good and very easy! I wasn't in the mood to fuss with cookies, so this recipe was perfect. I may try adding a thin layer of frosting next time, either banana or cream cheese.

Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2006
This would have been very bland if I hadn't altered it quite a bit. I used two cups of milk, two tablespoons of flour, one cup of gorgonzola, and added garlic. Even so, it just tasted like a decent alfredo sauce. I love gorgonzola, so I think I'll stick to using it on my salads where I can really taste the flavor!

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
Pretty good. I think I'll try it again, but change the meat filling a little. I didn't really like the taco sauce mixed in, so I'd probably just season the hamburger with chili powder, cumin, garlic and have a more dry filling. Otherwise, I loved the idea of baking them.....they were pretty crunchy with the butter basted on top.

Great soup! Nice and simple. A good way to use up extra mushrooms.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
Great soup after a few minor changes. I increased the broccoli to about 20 ounces, used 3 cans of chicken broth instead of 4, halved the garlic powder, and added some sharp cheddar cheese. Tasted even better the next day. Even my broccoli hating boyfriend loved this soup! I think next time I'll try adding cauliflower and some shredded carrot.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
This recipe was good, but didn't blow me away. I think next time I'll try my own variation. Beef stock, minced garlic, wine, pepper, maybe some fresh onions. I didn't really like the soy sauce/onion soup mix combo. The meat was tender and leftovers would make great sandwiches. I served it with garlic mashed potatoes.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
I wasn't totally wowed by it, but my coworkers loved it! I had to give the recipe out to a bunch of people. I used less whipped topping than called for and it went over best with the cinnamon graham cracker sticks. A perfect fall treat for a potluck!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
Pretty good! I will keep trying new recipes for the sake of finding the absolutely perfect apple crisp. But this one does taste great. Next time I'd try slicing the apples thicker since they seem to turn to mush when they're so thin. I only added 1/4 cup of water to the apples and also added some cinnamon to the topping mixture. Mine needed to bake for an hour.

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2005
Absolutely one of my new favorites! I added kalamata olives and halved the amount of pasta. The leftovers were even great. Be sure that you don't over cook the pasta. I am totally in love with this recipe and will use it a ton. Thanks so much!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2005
I was really looking forward to trying this recipe, but was a little diappointed. I'm not sure why....I love artichokes, artichoke dip, chicken. But something about this wasn't right. I'd definitely broil it if I decided to give it another try.

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

Pretty good cookies! I underbaked them so they stayed soft. They spread out a little more than I like, though.
