Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
I LOVED this recipe! So quick and easy. I didn't have fresh oregano, so I used dried. Fresh rosemary is a must. I cut the potatoes into wedges. I don't think it needs to marinate like other reviewers have suggested. I think it needs a liberal amount of salt. Great recipe, I will be making this again soon!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
I wasn't a big fan of this. It tasted like a plain chicken and stuffing bake. If I try this again, I'd make a few changes. The slices of ham didn't work well, I'd do large cubes instead. I thought it was too much stuffing, so I'd maybe try half a box. I also would pound the chicken a bit or cut into chunks. I made this on high and the chicken was still raw after 2.5 hours. Try the recipe on the back of the stove top stuffing box (chicken, cream of chicken soup, veggies) and add ham if you want something similar to this recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
The chicken turned out great. There were waaaay too many dumplings and not enough sauce. If I make it again, I'd only use one tube of biscuits. Might be a nice recipe to play around with.

The Way to a Man's Heart

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Yum! The only thing I'd do a little differently next time is to make sure the white sauce didn't get too thick. I think the dish would have been better if it were creamier. The leftovers even tasted great the next day.

German Chocolate Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Very easy and pretty good! I followed the recipe exactly. I'm not sure why it says to refrigerate 4 hours before cutting. I did that and they were extremely hard making it difficult to cut. When softened up to room temp, they're chewy and much easier to cut. Make sure to grease the pan well, if the frosting touches the sides as it bakes it will really stick.

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
I thought this was dry. Maybe another can of soup would help. If I made it again, I'd try that along with adding some veggies...sauteed mushrooms, onions, green peppers.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Great! I made a few changes. I cut up the bacon then fried it, I hate frying then crumbling bacon (so messy!). I also added more cream. I didn't have soup base, so I used bouillon. I found I had to cook the kale longer than 4 minutes. Excellent leftovers for lunch!

Lemon Sauce for Salmon Patties

I LOVE this sauce! I even use it as a much easier (and healthier) hollandaise for eggs benedict.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
Excellent! I was worried about it getting too "soupy," (which it wasn't) so I decreased the water slightly. I shouldn't have done that because the leftovers were slightly dry, but still very tasty. And I recommend using the cottage cheese, no substitutions. Stick to the recipe, it's great as is!

Elvis Presley Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
Really good! Very, very sweet when you go by the recipe. Others recommendations of increasing pineapple, decreasing sugar, and topping with pecans instead of mixing into frosting would help make this even better.

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

This was a super quick and easy way to satisfy a sweet tooth in a hurry! Not the prettiest dessert I've ever made, but pretty good considering how easy it is.

Pepperoncini Beef

I've gotta give this five stars for being so easy! It is pretty tasty, too. We liked it on toasted hoagie rolls with cheese and mayo. I love finding such inexpensive and simple recipes like this.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
Not as good as I had hoped it would be. I don't plan on making it again. It really looks so unappetizing, probably part of the reason it wasn't very popular at a party I brought it to. The jalapeno popper spread (from allrecipes) I made was a big hit, but this dip was not.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

This went over well at a recent party I brought it to. I used a 4 oz can of jalapenos, sprinkled with shredded parmesan, topped with sliced jalapenos, then baked until bubbly. Soooo good and really easy!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

The rave reviews were right on! These are awesome. I rolled the balls in sugar, just placed them on a cookie sheet since I don't have a mini muffin pan, and baked 7 minutes. Soooo good!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I think I found my new favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe! These are great. I followed the recipe exactly (even made the huge size!) except did half butterscotch chips half semi-sweet. They turned out perfect! Thanks!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2007
Tasty! They do need to set up in the refrigerator before cutting, but they were hard to cut after I let them chill for about 5 hours. The chocolate fell off the peanut butter...it was a mess. I was able to cut them in perfect squares after they softened a bit. They also taste better when soft, so I'd recommend only refrigerating if needed after they're cut. I didn't find them grainy at all, but I did use a food processor for the graham crackers. And I didn't substitute milk chocolate chips, I don't think it's necessary. Great recipe!

Chicken Noodle Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2007
I've made my own variation of this recipe for a few years now, I think it's great! Just be sure to not over cook the noodles. I also use only half the seasoning packet or it can get pretty salty. I love this recipe for something quick and easy when you don't really feel like cooking.

Ham and Swiss Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2007
Well, I didn't really follow the recipe but I'm giving it 5 stars anyways! I was looking to use up leftover ham and this was perfect. Instead of cream of celery soup, I used cream of mushroom. I omitted the green peppers and added sauteed chopped onion and mushrooms. I didn't layer the casserole, but just mixed it all in a big bowl and poured it into a 9X13 pan. I topped it with a little extra swiss cheese, too. Very quick and easy! Great for a weeknight meal when you need to use up some things from the fridge.
