No-Bake Granola Bars

I have tried other granola bar recipes in the past, and they were no where near as delicious and good as these! I didn't have any light corn syrup, so I used maple flavored pancake syrup instead, and it's delicious. You can't even really tell. And instead of chocolate chips I used mini M&M baking pieces. My kids LOVE them, and so did my other family members. Definitley a keeper, and I will make again and again! Better than store bought kind!!!

Red Pot Roast

Because of the comments on not enough liquid and sauce, I placed my roast in the pan, covered it in the sauce prepared from the recipe, then covered the pan tightly with foil and baked as directed. I then added the veggies and covered it again with foil to bake for the second half, and I never ran out of the sauce, and had enough left to make the gravy. I followed every other part of the recipe exactly, and this was DELICIOUS! I am making it again and I am also passing it on to my extended family, it's just so good! Even my two pickiest eaters gobbled it all up!

Spicy Pineapple Spread

I made this for a Family Christmas dinner and it was a HUGE success! I did have to turn the "heat" down since there were going to be children eating this too. I made it using 1 tsp. horseradish and 1/4 tsp. ground mustard, and it was still really flavorful, just without being too spicy. In fact I felt I could have actually just cut both the amounts in half and used 2 tsp. of each instead and it still would have been nice and zesty without burning anyones mouth off. I also used an apricot-pineapple jam instead of just a plain pineapple, and it was delicious. It was a fantastic dip and devoured quite happily by my family. I will be making this again and again! No Bake Cookies I

I made this recipes twice following the directions and ingredients exactly and they turned out crunmbly each time. The second time I even decreased the cooking time to 1 minute, and still a crumbly mess. They tasted good, but I hate how they crumble everywhere. I am still looking for a chewy no bake cookie.

Cheesy Drop Biscuits

This is a family favorite and we never have any leftovers. Not a low fat biscuit for sure, but worth the indulgence! They are so yummy served with a hot bowl of stew or soup on a cold winter evening. YUM!

Best London Broil Ever!

This was delicious and easy! I took the others suggestions and added 2 TBSP. Soy Sauce and I also used diced tomatoes, of which one can was a tomato and sweet onion mix which was perfect! The meat cooked up perfectly and was so tender! All of my kids loved it and went back for seconds, even my pickiest eater! I can't wait to pass this recipe on to my sister, mom and grandma, they are going to love it! Thanks!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Excellent Meatloaf! And I have a very picky crew, so a definite 5 star rating! I ended up using 2 lbs beef for our large family, and the packet of onion soup mix was 1 3/8 oz, and I used all of it, and I was out of buttery crackers so used saltines, but followed rest of recipe exactly. Not only will I make this again, but I will be passing this on to my sisters and Mom, it was gobbled up with gusto!

Scalloped Taters

We loved this, and I will be making this again. I used a 12 oz. can evap skim milk (which is still 1 1/2 cups), out of cornflakes so used crushed Corn Chex intead with same crunchy results, and sprinkled the buttered Chex on top before baking. Instead of the crockpot I baked it in the oven @ 350 for 45-50 minutes and the top was nicely browned and bubbly. This turned out delicious and all eight of us loved it! I'm excited to try this in the crockpot next time, it was so yummy! Thanks!

Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

I followed the cake recipe exactly and it was delicious! I did not use the frosting part of this recipe however, I frosted it with a can of cream cheese frosting from the store since I was looking for a quick and easy cake to throw together. I loved that this only uses a 15 oz. can of pumpkin puree, so I am not stuck with leftover pumpkin puree in my fridge to worry about! It tasted like a pumpkin spice cake, and it was devoured by each one of my kids and my husband with gusto! Thankyou for a great recipe, I will be passing this one on to friends and family!

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

I will never buy Hot Fudge Sauce again when I can make this one, this is sensational! Oh so fudgy and simply perfect as an ice cream topping! Exactly what I was looking for, and tastes divine! I cut everything in the recipe in half except the cocoa, I still used the full 1/3 cup. I also used margarine instead of butter, and after it had cooked for 7 minutes I added 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and stirred them in until melted. So yummy! Thankyou so much for sharing this recipe!

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Very good and a fun change of pace. I ended up making homemade fudge sauce since I didn't have any on hand, and it was yummy on this "cake". Easy, a hit with the kids, and quick to put together which always a good thing. For sure needs the full hour in the freezer, and quite rich and fudgy. Thankyou for sharing this!

Potato Minestrone

I made this with diced canned tomatoes w/ sweet onion since I was out of dried minced onion, otherwise the only other changes was to make 1 1/2 times the recipe, except I only used 10 oz. of the spinach and it was plenty. Also, as per other reviews, I made this in the crock pot a day ahead. Stuck it in the fridge, and re-heated for dinner the next day and the flavors had blended beautifully without any overpowering spinach flavor. The soup was delicious, my kids ate it all up. The only thing I would change is I did not care for the mealy texture of the garbanzo beans in the soup, but I still loved every bite. Just might omit them next time. But it didn't ruin the yummy soup by any means. Also sprinkled a little parmesan cheese over each serving of soup. Yum!

French Peach Pie

Very Yummy! I used the Del Monte Raspberry flavored peach slices cut into small pieces for easy cutting and serving, and it was delicious! I also mixed the peaches and slightly cooled glaze together, and then topped the pie with it, very easy! Perfect for a summer pie too, and perfect light tasting pudding/custard flavor. Not too sweet, hit the spot, and I will be making this again for sure!!! Thankyou!

Meaty Tomato Soup

I made this on the stove top since I was short on time. I did everything as stated in the recipe except I used 2 cups of pasta. I cooked it on medium high, brought it to a boil, added the pasta, cooked it for about 15 minutes until the pasta was done. It was not a soup by then, more of a pasta dish w/ a red sauce, which we ate with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. We all liked it, excpet we all agreed it was a bit salty. I would suggest cutting back on the salt, and adding more if needed after a few taste tests. I WILL be making this again, on the stove top and also in my Crock Pot. Great with a green salad and crusty french bread! Thankyou

Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies

We LOVED these! So yummy! I omitted the raisins, reduced the oil to 1/3 cup, and added a few dashes of almond extract and vanilla, just for an enhancement even though you can't really taste it, but it gives it a little "something extra". Fast, Easy and Delicous! The perfect combination!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Loved it! So delicious! After I cooked the beef, onions and celery, I threw them it my crock pot with the rest of the ingredients, and cooked it on "High" for 2 hours so I could work on some other stuff I needed to get done. It turned out a little bit saucier, not quite as neat, but I think if I had cooked it in the saucepan it would have cooked some of the liquid off. So no complaints, and this is my new standard sloppy joe recipe, both in a saucepan or crock pot, so good!

Sunday Best Fruit Salad

So delicious!!! Absolutely my new favorite fruit salad! Perfect amount of sweet, with the great taste of the fruit coming through in every yummy bite. My kids went back for seconds and thirds, we all devoured it! But it makes more than 8 servings, which is fine with me, more to enjoy tomorrow! Thankyou for such a scrumptious recipe!

Pumpkin Bread

Delicious! I used 1 1/2 TBSP. pumpkin pie spice instead, and I also added chopped walnuts and some fresh frozen cranberries, and we all loved it! Although this bread could have stood all on it's own, a real winner of a recipe. Simply delicious, and so good when eaten warm, and also delicious the next day, although good luck on them lasting that long! I made mine into 6 mini loaves, and they were so good!

Cousin David's Slow Cooker Brisket

The meat came out perfect, and was VERY tasty! I personally didn't care for the gravy, but my husband and kids thought it was great. I will make this again, especially since it was so easy and the meat came out tender and perfectly moist. I think the leftover meat will make a delicious fajita filling too! Thanks!

Pineapple Lemon Cake

I originally gave this 3 stars, but I came back and upped it to 4 after tasting it again after it chilled overnight in the fridge. This is a lot tastier the second day. It really needed some time to let the flavors blend and mellow, otherwise, I only tasted a lot of lemon from the cake, and it overpowered everything else. By day two it was really smooth, light and refreshing, and something I think I will make again, but now I know to let it chill overnight before serving. Oh, and I used 12 oz. Cool Whip and it was almost too much, so I don't know why it calls for 16 oz. in the recipe, it would be spilling over the sides otherwise.
