Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I was really excited to include this cookie in my countdown for Christmas 2009. I've never heard of cream cheese in a 3 oz package; I am only familiar with 8 oz. I was confused while reading the ingredients list and decided to go with the 3 oz that the author had. BIG MISTAKE! The dough was very stiff and made very rough looking cookies. I had hope that things would smooth out after baking...they did not. There was an awful flour taste. I decided to include the other 5 oz of cream cheese for a total of 8 oz - PERFECT! The texture was beautiful and very easy to work with. I didn't think the flavor combination was anything to get excited over. Thanks, but no thanks - I won't be making these again.

Enchilada Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This was a great little dish for a weekday dinner for my family of five. We didn't find anything fantastic about it; I felt it was more of a foundation for your own personal preferences. Thank you for sharing...I know my kids and husband will request it again!

Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
Wow! This BBQ sauce is fantastic! I have only used it on chicken so far. I had some leftover, so I stored it in a jar in the fridge until my next BBQ need. We think it tasted even better the second time around. I will definitely make this again and again; I may never buy from the store again!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I made these last night for my family; my picky children (ages 2, 3, and 7) loved it! I used onion powder instead of real onion and replaced the tomatoes with tomato paste because we don't care for the texture of tomatoes in a dish. This is a real keeper!

Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I made this for Thanksgiving last year and it didn't firm up like I wanted. Actually, it was on the runny side...otherwise - it's great!

Flavorful Flounder

My husband is the only one in my family that eats seafood of any type. I was nervous the first time I made fish...I used this recipe because it sounded easy enough and the ingredients were on hand. My husband really liked it! I'd give it five starts, but I have no idea what it tastes like! ;-)

Poppy Seed Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I actually discovered this recipe from my brother and grandmother while we were visiting them a couple of weeks ago. My brother raved about it and after returning home, I looked it up here. I've made it twice already, it's such a big hit with EVERYONE in my family, including the little ones! It's definitely a keeper. :-)

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
Brownies have never been a successful area for me, but this recipe changed that. I followed everything as written, but added chocolate chips. Let's face it: peanut butter and chocolate were made for each other. These brownies were absolutely delicious and a HUGE hit at my house; they did not last long at all! Thanks for sharing - it's a keeper!

I made glaze to top a cake (Too Much Chocolate Cake) for my sister's birthday to have on 9/20/2008. It went over VERY well! I followed the recipe to a "t" - doubled - and it turned out perfectly. Thank you for sharing!
